EkoOne 2
I used a 3rd Party app to convert some video files from .mkv 7.1 to .mp4 AAC stereo. When displayed in Emby the Audio is shown as "Und AAC stereo (default)." I was curious what "Und" stands for since I've never seen it before and can't find an explanation online. seanbuff 837
"Und" means "undetermined" You will get Und when your track does not have a known language set, as you can see using a tool like MKVtoolnix:

EkoOne 2
Thank you for explaining. Does Und present any potential playback or compatibility issues?
seanbuff 837
You shouldn't notice any playback or compatibility issues. The only time it may come into play is with your subtitle preference, as Emby is unable to detect the audio language of the file, you may or may not see a default subtitle selected depending on whether there is one or not. YMMV.
Luke 36879
We should add a friendlier display for und and have it actually say Unspecified.
