Is it safe to manually add content to Recordings folder?

I have two TV libraries set up, one for shows I keep and one for shows where I delete episodes as I watch them (Transitory TV).

I recently added Live TV/DVR to Emby, and I'd like to merge my Transitory TV library into the new Recordings library used for Emby DVR.

Would this cause any problems for Emby?

when i have previously had failed recordings i have got the same episode from other sources, added it to the recordings library so the OH has consistency and experienced no issues
