How to Refresh the Cast/Performers

Hello, 

 

i want to refresh the pictures and metadata from the complete Cast of all movies?

are there a task that i can start or any trigger?

Hi, try refreshing the metadata on one or two movies using the 3-dot menu. If this produces a satisfactory result, then you can do it at the library or parent folder level. Please let us know if this helps. Thanks.

it only works if i renew all pictures.

i have for most of my movies special picures, these will be changed if iíi do it.

 

is there no task i can run? in jelleyfin is a special task for that.

Hi, you can do it in bulk using the procedure I mentioned above. Have you tried that?

if i renew it only in the movie, then only the persons in this movie will be updated.

what will happen if i click on the 3 dots on a person and click renew all with pictures? will this renew the movies as well?

No, that will work fine but it will be a very manual process.

so this would only renew only this person? 

is there any possibility to renew all persons with pictures and dont renew the pictures of the movies?

A sub-option on the refresh dialog would be extremely helpful:

[X]  Replace existing images

        [X]  Preserve posters

Or perhaps it would be simpler to automatically lock the posters when they are selected manually, much like how metadata values get locked when modified manually.
