Hi there, this is my situation:

I have 2 computers running emby server, 1 with 4.5.4 version and 1 with 4.7.5

When I access on roku to oldder version server(192.168.1.10) I can open up the pluggin and working like sharm everything.

When I access on roku to the new version server(192.168.1.92) App crashes when I try to open the pluggin, It dont show any msg or something, just send me back to the HOME menu of Roku.

I really like the new version the table view is amazing, but I can not use since is not working on roku.

Thanks in advance

I would at least enable the last checkbox, which still might not be enough, but will at least give you a better chance.

Checking the last box works great... but what about memory and cpu usage??

What about it?

It will consume ram and cpu?

Why older version works great without this options and new version crash?

This only crash on roku, not in android, lg or xbox(clients I use)

I don't even know what you're playing, other than "iptv". In order to provide more details you'll need to provide complete log file examples.

Most likely reason - the format of the media now is different than before, and you were just getting lucky before.

All the devices have their own list of supported media formats. By taking away all of those transcoding permissions, you're not allowing Emby Server to convert it to a compatible format if it is necessary.

Better than using transcoding is to convert all the media files to a format that direct plays on all devices in your universe.

I did that quite a while ago and I do not seem to ever have much in the way of playback problems.

My hard disk just get 150GB on /var/lib/emby/transcoding-temp .... I only play 2 live streams in 2 hours... Is amazing, is not about lucky, is the same stream url from iptv list, actually it's working in both servers (4.5 and 4.7) and I'm playing in the same Roku model client....

Hi.  Why are you using the IPTV plug-in instead of an m3u tuner for these?  What are the streams?

Hi.  These types of streams are never going to direct play on the Roku.  It doesn't support the container format they are in.

We need to try and track down why the crash is occurring but the proper way to setup these streams is as a live TV tuner.

Was the url that you imported into the iptv plugin a channel list, or a video url for a channel?

In 4.5.0 working very fluid and well there is the screenshot, stream url ends in .m3u8

Same plugin, same url, same icon on 4.7.5 server just crash the roku app...
