Painkiller8818 203
Server: 4.7.5.0 on Win10 Client: Samsung App Tizen 1.2.9 Hi, I wanna know, why is audio transconding, when needed using such low bitrate? Why is Emby transcoding a normal 1500Kbit or in this Case DTS-HD-MA with 2350kbit to 384kbit? Why isn't it using a higher bitrate, lets say at least 640kbit AC3 or 756Kbit E-AC3? Is there anything i can change in the Settings? thanks

Normal ac3 is 640kbit, normal DTS is 1500kbit DTS-HD is 2500 and higher. 384 is not really high the only streaming portal with lower bitrate is Disney+ with german audio with eac3 265kbit. If it transcodes an original DTS with 1500 to 384 i would not call it high. I would expect to keep the original bitrate and just change the codec to something supported, or at leas to go down to the next available bitrate, so i think the highest ac3 i know would be 640kbit Where can we adjust this? In any xml file or something? thanks Edited June 28, 2022 by Painkiller8818
Luke 37006
There's currently no way. We are continuing to look at improving it. Thanks
