I keep losing random movie primary images.  Don't care about other images.

I have "save artwork into media folders" checked, but I don't use individual folders for movies, just one folder.

Hi, the system will never change your images so that's why there is no lock function for it.

Can you go over a specific example and maybe a screenshot of the folder for that example showing naming schemes?

hmmm, so what am I doing wrong that causes the loss of those images?

Not sure if this screenshot is what you mean, but ....

The folder is called Movies and all the movies and their images (poster-jpg) they have one are in there.

IE: Mank 2020-poster.jpg doesn't show up.

do I need to join TMDB for Emby to be able to dl images quickly?

No Emby automatically download images from TMDB assuming image provider is selected per library and priority order is correct.  Then there is a language select variable also.

Naming looks correct and I had no issue with your Mack 2020 example above.  What do you see in Emby for this example?

But local images will take priority over getting online images.

Best guess issue you a permissions issues as lots of issue with /Volumes/Bugs in the log and trying to convert images.

System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Access to the path '/Volumes/Bugs/' is denied.

this seems to be an ongoing issue that I have been unable to figure out.

I believe Luke may have had the same observation on an earlier unrelated post.

on closer observation, this appears to be the only drive of the 4 internal that is formatted Mac OS Extended NOT Journaled.

And the only one with Permissions grayed out, even when unlocked.

Checking with the Mac heads that are more knowledgeable than I on this.

after checking with some others, seems it's time for a nuke and pave.  Hopefully it's not a physical error. Time will tell.

SMART shows a bunch of dead sectors.  Not horrible, but on it's way out.  Reloading from b.up now, at least temporarily.

the drive was indeed shot.  replaced with a new WD blue 5400 2TB.

Rebuilding Emby now from back ups.  It's happening much faster

SMART Utility is very handy.
