Imsotan 0 Posted June 10, 2022 Share Posted June 10, 2022 I am trying to watch a movie with subtitles coming from an external SRT file. The subtitles are not showing up. No issues however when using VTT files. An error appears in the logs, which I have linked bellow. I didn't use to have to issue. It might be the result of an update, but I do not know what version I was using when things were last working well. For additional info, I am running the emby plugin in Truenas. It is currently up to date at version 4.7.1.0, in a 12.3-RELEASE-p4 jail. embyserver.txt Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Imsotan 0 Posted June 12, 2022 Author Share Posted June 12, 2022 (edited) I dont think the issue is with the SRT itself. I dont have a single SRT subtitle showing up, but they used to. Most of them were downloaded through the Open Subtitles plugin. Also everything works well if I watch the movie and load subtitles in VLC. Still, here's a sample SRT that I used in my tests. Conversion jobs are also failing when they contain subtitles. I am converting an MKV with SRT subtitles packaged-in using the "Mobile" preset profile. The error message is the logs is similar to when playing a movie with subtitles, so I'm guessing this info has a place in this post. Uninstalled the plugin, and reinstalled emby as described here https://emby.media/truenas-server.html All good now Bit of a shame though. I discovered emby through this plugin.
