That's very interesting.  Perhaps it was the sound effects causing the issue...

I dont think so. It seems stable with this setting set either way.

Agree.  It very well could be that or the Dolby Process which I turned off also, or the combination of both being on.  The combination of the two being on is what triggered the sound effects issue on the OSD for both TrueHD and DTS-HD for both Audiomixer and myself.

The app is no longer sending any navigation sound effects when bitstreaming audio.

Ahh, so you turned both back on and the FF DTS-HD without issue using .77?

System sounds will no longer matter because the app is no longer trying to trigger them.

However, with .77 and both those options on both Audiomixer and I still get the sound issue with the OSD.

In exactly what scenario?

Correct. The major factor it seems is the DAP switch.

  • Turn both Dolby processing and Systems sounds on 2019 Shield (you have to have both on, turning one or the other off won't produce the error)
  • Start a movie with TrueHD Atmos or DTS:X
  • Click Down on remote to bring up the OSD
  • Now start scrolling right

I immediately get a slight pause in sound and then static using .77

When I fell back to .75 I can't reproduce this

I would add to that DTS HD MA as well but @FrostByte sums it up exactly. The FF on DTS-HD audio regardless of those two settings seems solved.

What does stats for nerds show for the audio playback?

Says Direct for audio for both TrueHD Atmos and DTS:X.  The soundbar even displays that so it should be passing everything correctly.

The one I reported when I opened this thread. The rest of the posts from other people are about topics that I don't know if they are related to my problem.

Okay, thanks.  There were recent discussions of other problems so I wanted to confirm.

I'm not really sure why this would be solved for some and not others.

But Android TV is in Nvidia Shield TV firmware. How can I update Android TV on an Nvidia Shield?

We are talking about Emby’s android TV client. According to your original post you are already running a beta for this which is version 2.0.75g. You want the latest beta which is 2.0.77g.

Ok, so please stop with the acronyms and write more clearly. Android TV is one thing and Emby client for Android TV is another.

Yes, the client is in the latest beta version.

The problem persists. I play a movie with DTS-HD audio, press fast forward 3 times and the image is already "stuck".

Can you confirm the Nvidia firmware version?

I cannot duplicate what you are seeing with the FF 3 times. For dolby audio processing, is your setting on or off?

@Juan Simóndo you have Rewind Resume set?  If not, could you try setting it to 10 seconds and see if that helps any?  It may require you to set it on both server and client, not sure.
