ecrispy 23 Posted May 28, 2022 Share Posted May 28, 2022 I see transcoding happening in following media - 1. anything with DTS - is it correct that DTS will not play back on Chromecast with Google tv? 2. 4k HEVC media file with DD audio - the audio is direct play, the video says 'direct play' error and it transcodes. I do not believe that device supports DTS (as virtually no streaming media uses that format) but that won't cause transcoding - only an audio conversion and only if you have changed the default audio setting in the app. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
