adamstewiegreen 147
Duplicate movies being displayed has always been an issue for Emby (at least for me) when it came to the recommendations section and it never really bothered me, but now it's happening in a lot of my collections. And it's very annoying. Any help with a fix?
Happy2Play 8242
@adamstewiegreen Do you actually have multiple versions in your setup? But don't believe I have ever seen this. Do they both go to the same place? You can see path via right click edit metadata on each. Edited May 16, 2022 by Happy2Play
pwhodges 1523
I don't normally see this. But today I am rebuilding a complete server, and I noticed that one series was duplicated - and yes, there was only one copy on disk, and the metadata for both was the same. By chance this alerted me to the fact that I needed to replace the files (they were very low resolution, from the time when I re-encoded everything to view on an iPhone 3Gs!), so I deleted the directory, but only one of the two copies in the library disappeared. This is not definitive, though, as that library is still being scanned (it'll take about 24 hours in all). Paul
adamstewiegreen 147
They are definitely not duplicates and only show up as such in Collections and in "More like this" In edit metadata all the duplicates point to the same file. However, if I change the poster, the duplicate poster does not change. So on the "Home Page" (in this case the "Latest Movies" section) they (in this case Evangelion and Sonic) do not show up as duplicates. Any thoughts on fixing this? Luke 37008
If you're certain you only have one copy of the movie, try moving the offending video files out of the library, running a full scan of all libraries to clean out the database, and then adding them back. HtRabbit 9
i had an issue that turned out to be incorrect naming on trailers causing this issue. just an idea.
adamstewiegreen 147
So, I deleted a bunch of my plugins to try to fix a different problem, and all the duplicates went away ... go figure ...

Radeon24 4
Hello, I have exactly the same issue since few months : lot of movies are showns twice only in collection, actor or search view (but only on real file on the server). I'm also on a Windows install. The problem appears first when I migrated my file-server to another one, so I edited my libraries to remove old paths and add new ones. But, now my server is totally migrated, and I still have this issue for new movies added few days ago. I don't understand why this is happening. Has anyone managed to resolve this bug? Thanks ! Edit : With one exemple Spider-Man in the search : some duplicates When I open the saga : the same duplicates In the library / all movies view, everything is fine : Edited October 15, 2023 by Radeon24
