metropical 33 Posted May 9, 2022 Posted May 9, 2022 this has happened a few times. I'd post a log, but since I come upon the issue, dunno what day log to post. The "remember me" is ticked. TCL/Roku TV. Doesn't seem to be an issue with Android app. in any case, it happens randomly. I have to password back into the (local WiFi) server.

ebr 15580 Posted May 9, 2022 Posted May 9, 2022 Thanks for that. Is it possible that your server is temporarily not reachable when you are forced to re-login? Exactly what happens in this case?
metropical 33 Posted May 9, 2022 Author Posted May 9, 2022 don't think so. the server Mac is 24/7 connected to the interwebs. is there something I should check? I had to re-log-in to post that snap.

Yes, that's what I meant. That sequence of events sounds like the app was unable to reach your server when it tried to logon automatically. Your server log is filled with these: 2022-05-09 15:39:25.348 Debug PortMapper: Potential NAT device: uuid:e73c28de-1064-315c-826a-9f09653ba0c6::urn:schemas-upnp-org:service:WANPPPConnection:1 2022-05-09 15:39:25.348 Debug PortMapper: Potential NAT device: uuid:e73c28de-1064-315c-826a-9f09653ba0c6::urn:schemas-upnp-org:service:WANPPPConnection:1 2022-05-09 15:39:25.348 Debug PortMapper: Potential NAT device: uuid:e73c28de-1064-315c-826a-9f09653ba0c6::urn:schemas-upnp-org:service:WANPPPConnection:1 2022-05-09 15:39:25.348 Debug PortMapper: Potential NAT device: uuid:e73c28de-1064-315c-826a-9f09653ba0c6::urn:schemas-upnp-org:service:WANPPPConnection:1 2022-05-09 15:39:25.349 Debug PortMapper: Potential NAT device: uuid:e73c28de-1064-315c-826a-9f09653ba0c6::urn:schemas-upnp-org:service:WANPPPConnection:1 2022-05-09 15:39:25.349 Debug PortMapper: Potential NAT device: uuid:e73c28de-1064-315c-826a-9f09653ba0c6::urn:schemas-upnp-org:service:WANPPPConnection:1 2022-05-09 15:39:25.458 Debug PortMapper: Potential NAT device: uuid:e73c28de-1064-315c-826a-9f09653ba0c6::urn:schemas-upnp-org:service:WANPPPConnection:1 2022-05-09 15:39:25.458 Debug PortMapper: Potential NAT device: uuid:e73c28de-1064-315c-826a-9f09653ba0c6::urn:schemas-upnp-org:service:WANPPPConnection:1 2022-05-09 15:39:25.458 Debug PortMapper: Potential NAT device: uuid:e73c28de-1064-315c-826a-9f09653ba0c6::urn:schemas-upnp-org:service:WANPPPConnection:1 Are you running some sort of proxy?
metropical 33 Posted May 10, 2022 Author Posted May 10, 2022 none that I set up or see in Network prefs. Nothing I did or see in the router. I see Port Mapper was updated on the Emby Server dashboard 5.7.22. Anywhere else I should look?
ebr 15580 Posted May 10, 2022 Posted May 10, 2022 Another possibility - do you ever select the "Sign out" option when exiting the app?

metropical 33 Posted May 13, 2022 Author Posted May 13, 2022 I can't imagine this has anything to do with anything, but .... The server Mac is on a 5 port unmanaged TP-Link switch with a VoIP phone, T-Mo cell spot and MacMini, and of course the router.

metropical 33 Posted May 16, 2022 Author Posted May 16, 2022 I am, but it keeps happening, intermittently. I gotta bang heads with a networking friend of mine to see if he has any ideas.

Weird @metropical Sounds like you are getting to the bottom of your issue. can you screenshot/describe what you meant by "The lan address was missing from the dashboard". I dont think i am getting that but would like to make sure, to confirm my issue is unrelated to yours.
metropical 33 Posted May 16, 2022 Author Posted May 16, 2022 " i have remember me on, and the server dashboard displays the correct local ip. " The dashboard missing the local IP when the issue occurs. I'd say your issue is somewhat different.
