Samsung TV issues

So I'm at a friend's house and I'm having some playback problems. Some media fails. Emby attempts to play, closes the Emby App and then the Samsung changes to live TV (Xfinity in this case). I can play those files on the android app without issues.

Another thing, I run Emby and Plex on my server, serving the same files. So I installed Plex on the Samsung TV and the very dame media also has playback issues.

We have since left our friends. The model number is un50mu6070f the rest I am unsure of. My wife's friend is not very tech friendly, so asking her to supply the remainder of that information would be unfruitful. Though I will try.  As far as an example, most are at least a Gigabyte in size. How do I get that to you? Emby Server Ver: 4.6.70. I will gladly give you access. Servant S03E01 and Coda.

Thanks!

Can you provide server and transcode logs?  Maybe the media info from the details page on the server for what was playing?  It really could be a number of things, but without more information on what you were attempting it's hard to guess what the problem is.

Hello

I have same problem on my Samsung TV :) At beginning I think that was server problem (Mac Mini M1) but I have no problem on my Xiaomi Box (for example)
Does my file (attached file)  help you to understand problem ?

When I watch a movie, sometime my movie pass from 2Mn00 to 2mn02 ... Like a little jump ... (Sorry for my english 😅)

At beginning I think it was server or my disk (I have 4 disk USB-C on my Mac server) but, When I watch on my Macbook Pro or anything else, I have not this problem.
I have 2 Samsung TV at home, and on other house 4 Samsung TV and same problem.

Where are they ? in ffmpeg log ?

If there were any, they would be in the same location you got the server logs

By chance, did you check SFN to see if it was Direct Playing or Transcoding?

Hi.  Can you try sideloading our standard android app on the same device and see how that compares?

@Mric are we talking about our android/fire tv app or Samsung? Because first you mentioned firestick, but now you're saying 1.2.6 which is the Samsung app version.

Hello so found this thread and found the same issue with Samsung TV at another persons house. Hope these logs Help. It will show on the server as it started a movie, then never play on the TV. Giving a playback error several seconds later. Other TV's/PC's it works fine.

@Luke I found the problem you're right ...

If I download Emby App on Samsung (US) Store, I have problem (not updated)

If I install via USB stick, everything is ok (but I have to update every month ?), it's a problem for me because I have installed it on every Samsung TV (4 TV) on a apartment that I rent
Have you solution, for don't re-install every month ?
