horstepipe 356
Hello Not sure how it is in US releases, but here in Germany it unfortunately happens quite often that forced subtitles are not marked correctly as „forced“, but there is just the subtitle name which points that out, like forced force German Forced or (f) So it would be really great if Emby could also determine by these subtitle strings to enable them or not (based on the settings the user selected). What do you think? best regards Edited April 14, 2022 by horstepipe
horstepipe 356
At least nobody says something against it lol @ebr@Lukewould you mind adding that somewhere on your ToDo list? I also often see this from own dvd rips - not marked as forced, but „force“ is in the subtitle title. Edited July 4, 2022 by horstepipe

You can use the header editor in MKVToolnix to set subtitles correctly.
neik 834
That's why I extract embedded SRT subs and put them alongside the file itself. Doing so it's much easier to manage imo.

I used to store everything inside the mkv to keep it cleaner with less files but had to change it. It was a learning journey for me but now I'm quite satisfied with the setup.
