GrumpyTrucker 3 Posted February 23, 2022 Share Posted February 23, 2022 Hi all. Does anyone know how to get Emby Server to wake up a sleeping Mac to access the server remotely? Whenever I want to access my media away from home I have to launch Plex first to wake up the Mac then open Emby. This seems an oddball situation. The wake signal obviously is passing through since one app can wake the system, but not the other. I had to manually configure port forwarding for Emby since automatic UPnP configuration did not work (although again, Plex configured port forwarding fine by UPnP), amd once the Mac is awake all is fine. It's that wake signal doesn't seem to be getting through. I usually leave the Mac on 24/7 but with the escalating cost of electricity here I need to start letting the Mac and attached HDDs sleep / spin down.
