Why am I seeing this message in the guide data instead of the actual guide information? It's an active channel and it's mapped correctly. It's showing up like this on my Windows server and NAS, both on version 4.6.7.

That must be what the guide data says.

Do you think it's a problem with Emby Guide or the source?

Reading in the Verizon forums, now I see that there was a licensing dispute. It seems to be over, but the guide data hasn't been restored yet.

Just an FYI: It's really unusual to see contract disputes for local channels that are streamed OTA.

It's even more rare to see a channel like this be removed from cable.  Previously it was mandated that cable carry all the main local channels.

Yea, these petty squabbles are really annoying. Unfortunately it's become a bit of a norm.

Chicken and egg type thing.

You used to see this a lot with the premium channels like HBO, SHOWTIME, STARZ, STARZ ENCORE, Cinemax and The Movie Channel where the network wants a bigger cut because the cable company wouldn't be what it is without them and of course the cable company uses the same argument that these networks would be nothing with them so they need to drop their prices or get replaced.

It hurts both sides as they bleed more and more customers to OTA and media servers like Emby where you can have it your way with no fees.

Maybe one day things will end up like it used to be where TV was free or you had a basic service fee for delivery (cable) and they made the money off advertisements because they actually had something of quality being broadcast that drew in users.
