Combine Record folders & Archive folders in Library

Hi All,

I have set up folders for new recordings and folders for archiving; separate folders allow my server to be shutdown and recordings can continue. Every now and then, I manually move the content over from the recordings drive to the archive.

I have added both folders to each Library, but only the archive content is visible, unless I select 'Folders' tab and then I can see all the files. I have tried deleting the Library and adding just the recordings folder (no items / folder view only) and then add the archive, which appears fine.

How can I include the recorded folder content in the main Library view?
Do I need to rebuild the database? If so, how do I do this?

The folders are configured as follows:
(The drives are mapped from server shares)

Recording settings:
Default recording path: P:\TV
Movie recording path: P:\TV\Movies
Series recording path: P:\TV\TV Shows

Movies Library:
P:\TV\Movies
P:\Videos\Movies

TV Shows Library:
P:\TV\TV Shows
P:\Videos\TV Shows

Recordings Library:
P:\TV

Update: I have removed the Libraries again and this time remade each of them using 'Mixed content' (named Movies, or TV Shows as appropriate), which seems to combine the folders as required. This is odd, as the Live TV content is correctly located into Movies or TV Shows, and when manually moved from the record drive to the corresponding archive drive, the files display in the main view correctly.

Update2: Its back to how it was, with only the tab: 'Folders' showing everything. There are now tabs for Movies, Shows and Genres and these only include content from the archive drives.

@ARNiTECT The issue is you can't have one library that is a subfolder of another library, so what I would suggest doing is removing the Recordings library, and then setting a different default recording path.

Please let us know if this helps. Thanks.

Sorry it has taken so long to reply, I was using a secondary server for last 6months while I tinker with the main server and couldn't test your suggestion until now.

I have changed my default recordings folder to P:\TV\Default

LiveTV > Advanced:
Default recording path: P:\TV\Default
Movie recording path: P:\TV\Movies
Series recording path: P:\TV\TV Shows

I recreated my libraries for good measure.

All seems to be working fine now.

Thanks for your help!
