Lots of image metadata fetching in log - is this expected?

seems like every time a scan is initiated, the internet providers are referenced for image metadata.

in the logs the tv show 'keeping up appearances' as an example, references 'internet gets' in logs twice in one day.

edit

in case its relevant -  an 'unexpected'? behaviour i am experiencing is that all content added seems to precipitate a full library scan. I have my scan library task set to every 6 hours and on wake from sleep (my pc doesnt sleep)

Do you have "Enable automatic updates" enabled?

Otherwise i don't see a problem with this :) (I could totally be wrong but it might just be that some of your items are missing images and mbs wants to correct that)

yes this option is the one affecting..but it is reasonable that users would value updates without loading their internet/metadata providers to this extent. Checking all content every time seems overkill...checking fetches which errored or content added in last x days are the ones which need higher priority...as objects get older..there is less point checking as frequently.
