edejaeger77 1
Good morning CET! For the convenience of having a single interface / player, is there a way now to play movies owned and downloaded from Windows Store? The idea is not to remove the DRM but "just" to play the files. Maybe is there a "magic plug-in" to do this? Many thanks by advanced! Eric
rbjtech 4257
The fact these files have Microsoft PlayReady DRM means they won't be able to be played on anything outside the Windows environment - including emby.
edejaeger77 1
Hello! Many thanks for your answer. Do you mean that running an Emby server hosted on a Windows PC cannot be considered as running in a Windows environment? I used a multimedia application, years ago (on a Windows 8 ) that was capable to play such files (maybe with an embedded Windows Media Player component?). By the way, as Microsoft has become the biggest contributor in Open Source applications and frameworks, I hoped something was done to make it readable everywhere.
