rhino777 0

Carlo 4330
The basic problem is that you're trying to access the files from Emby when you haven't mounted the Synology share to the Pi yet. You need to mount the remote shared folder, then set ownership and permissions for the Emby user running the Server. Once that is done, Emby Server will be able to see your files. BTW, you are far better off running Emby Server on the Synology itself as it will be faster and remove the need to for Emby to access files remotely. They key to anything on Linux is file ownership and permissions.

Luke 37007
Quote I tried on different media (emby on shield on w10 on linux mint) and each time I can't share anything ... Are you trying to add the Windows share path directly into Emby Server? Instead of doing that, please try mounting the share to a local path on the Synology using the tools in the Synology OS. Then add that local path into Emby Server Please let us know if this helps. Thanks !
