Server management menus disapeared with latest version

I just updated my emby server to version 4.6.7.0

Happily this fixed the issues I was having with using the identify search function for images and metadata. Unfortunately, this also seems to have removed all the server management menus.

When I go to "Manage Emby Server" I can no longer see the options for logs, trailers, libraries, etc. The list is limited to: Display, Home Screen, Playback, Subtitles, Password, and Profile

It's still available under from your user icon.

Are you sure you're running 4.6.7.0?

In the latest beta, those options are available under App Settings accessed via your user icon.

I'm pretty sure that's the version that I've got loaded. It claims as such, anyway.

I'm not sure what you mean by the menus being under my user icon. All I get from clicking my icon in the corner is the same list of menu items. I've enclosed a screenshot from accessing the page with my phone. On my desktop using both firefox and chromium, I get the same list.

That would mean that that user is not a Admin or Admin was removed from that user.

Maybe, but on the side bar of the home screen I get this (*image*), when I use my admin account.  When I log in with a non-privileged user I don't get the Manage Emby Server entry. Regardless, neither one gets me to the missing menu options.

Stupid question... If the issue is with admin privileges, can I add them to a user via the command line? Since I don't have access to the relevant gui page?

True as you would only have that option as an admin.  But you appear to be the only one experiencing this issue.

What client?

Something is not right in this user config as you have menu option showing you are an but do not have the options to get to the Dashboard but no other options.

Are there errors in the browser console?

Can you post a server log?

Only other thing would be checking your user policy.xml to ensure <IsAdministrator>true</IsAdministrator>.

From the Dashboard click Display and look at the URL to see your USERID.

Then go to /var/db/emby-server/config/users and find your userid folder and open the policy.xml.

User profile looks good

Here's the latest logfile. I tried accessing the server management page via my admin account in case that would spark something.

Can you post another server log to see if we can possibly see the plugin that was causing issues?

Hi, some info on this topic, same issue here (no manage menu, IsAdministrator = true, TrueNAS as host), I tried delete all plugins .dll with no effect but i discover in configuration folder (/var/db/emby-server/plugins/configurations) duplicit naming caused by case sensitivity. I had two Mediabrowser.Plugins.Trailers.xml (with browser and Browser) and two Statistics.xml (with stat... and Stat...) files, after deleting the older ones management menu starts working again.

was able to find it with some help.

/var/lib/emby/plugins

So I moved plugins to plugins.old and rebooted, no luck

Hi, server log?

@fantaxp7 has restored a VM backup back to v4.6.4.

He's going to upgrade once people have finished using the server.

The log he showed me didn't have any errors in it.

If it happens again, he will upload here.

Edit: Cbers beat me to the reply 😀

This is last one I had before restoring a backup from October, which fixed the issue not so surprisingly.

I also attempted to install a beta which did not fix.

Removed server log as it had public IP address in.
