How do I get them to send me my supporter key

What is the normal turn around time between becoming a paid supporter and getting a key?   Even when I try the "Forgot key" button on the "Server:Support:Supporter Key" and enter the email address I used earlier in the day to pay, then click "Retrieve key" I get a "Supporter not found" message back.   I would have thought it would have been automated - guess not.

It's automated but sometimes takes a day to process through paypal. You may also want to check your spam folder. Thanks for supporting!

Andrew - this is not a float issue.  You used the "Make an Additional Donation" option when you sent in your donation.  You did not apply for a supporter key so none was sent.

 

Was this a mistake?

Based on your question here, I assume you did do this unintentionally so I just refunded it.

 

You can re-submit using one of the other options that will generate a supporter key.  Thanks.

That doesn't work because Paypal wouldn't take a one time payment except as other without creating a paypal account.  I don't want a pay pal account.  This is way harder than it should be to be a supporter.  Your software is great, but this is way unhelpful.

No problem. We will have to fix that problem. In the meantime, why don't you PM Ebr with the option you want, then re-submit the donation and we'll wire you up manually. Then for the next release we'll make this more flexible.

Why should I have to be a paypal member just to support your project? 

 

Nobody is saying you have to, but as of now Paypal is the only system we've added so we're playing by their rules.

It was probably a mistake for you to refund the money, because I can't make another donation now for at least a month otherwise it will trigger the anti-fraud checks on the card.  I only wanted two things today, 1) to support your project and 2) get a supporter key so the nag notices would go away.  Now I won't be able to do that for another 30 days, plus you'll need to do something about the fact that paypal requires me to become a member to get a supporter key from you.

Can you please post some screenshots of the issue you had because I'm not sure what would have been the problem as the method of payment as far as PayPal is concerned should have been identical with the option you chose and the "Lifetime" option.  So we need to figure out what is going on there.

 

As for you re-submitting - shouldn't you be able to simply tell the bank that the charges are legit and they will lift any fraud protection?  That is what always happens with me whenever one of those gets triggered - but perhaps it is different for your provider?

Andrew, as a show of good faith for your troubles, I have just issued you a supporter key that will be good for the next month until we can get these issues worked out.  You should receive it by email.  Please let us know if it does not arrive.

I had to rebuild my mail server after a major failure and lost all my emails of which one was the key support email. I have asked for a resend of the key but either the mail forwarder is not working correctly by the service I am using temporarily or it's not being sent at all. I need the reset my Emby server. Can I get the key sent to another email account that is working? If you will contact me a redcatcher01@gmail.com, I will provide you the registered email. Thanks!

I paid for a monthly premiere via my emby app through PayPal yesterday at around 2pm EST. I was charged $6.50 (even though the website advertises  $4.99 for monthly. hmmm)  Anyway that's not the main problem... so far no key has been sent to the email I use with PayPal, or any of my emails for that matter. What email do you use that I should check? Already lost one day and counting, and overpaid it seems. Please help. Thanks

Hi.  You must have actually subscribed via an app store as opposed to directly via our website/PayPal - correct?

 

If that's the case, you should have received the key by now but I would suggest canceling that store subscription and re-doing it next month via our website as it will be cheaper.
