I'm mostly using NVIDIA Shield Pros but there hasn't been an update to the hardware since 2019 and right now the ATV has some really nice features like color calibration built in that make it very tempting, but not having auto framerate and format switching working 100% kinda kills it. hstamas 153 Posted September 6, 2023 Share Posted September 6, 2023 Anyone using the combo of the newest ATV and a Sony TV know of any way to force HDR on the Sony because I cant find it. I was hoping to be able to use my ATV full time but not switching to HDR is a huge dealbreaker for my family members who are not going to flip through menu items every time they want to watch a movie thats HDR. On the LG TV app it is passing the sound as Dolby Atmos while on apple tv, on the same HDR10 content, it is outputting Dolby Digital 5.1. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

TaranTSR 3 Posted September 27, 2023 Share Posted September 27, 2023 Having the same issues with no HDR 10 or HDR10+ switch. Have to use infuse. Native player refuses to play this and mpv is choppy. Also playback on 1080p via mpv is choppy with sound output and sync. Not an issue with infuse. Using the latest TestFlight beta, is to possible to look at adding other player types? It’s going to be a while I’m sure. It’s been an issue for almost 3 years maybe even longer. I’m sure there is a true explanation for it but I lost complete faith on Emby.
