magicdelux 5
I just updated to DSM7 and wanted to follow the update instructions for Emby. On my system there is no directory "/volume1/Emby/". Could it be deleted when uninstalling Emby? Or could the configuration be in a different folder?
Carlo 4330
Yes it could be in a different folder if you apps get installed to a different volume. How many volumes do you have? Have you checked for Emby on other volumes?
magicdelux 5
I have only one volume (volume1).
Carlo 4330
If you only have one volume and had Emby installed on DSM 6 it should be /volume1/Emby You could try searching the system as root for library.db or any other Emby name looking for files. If you like send me a PM and I can remote into your system and give you a hand.
magicdelux 5
I only found one file with the name "library.db". root@DiskStation:/# find ./ -name 'library.db' ./volume1/@appdata/EmbyServer/data/library.db Does this mean, that the old configuration of DSM6 has been deleted? Carlo 4330
That is the new location. Have you check recycle bin or searched the logs?
magicdelux 5
Is there a recycle bin for /volume1? If yes, how can I access it? If I search in Log Center for "emby", I find only one entry: User [embysvr] was created.
Carlo 4330
There is if you turned it on. Control Panel->Shared Folder Highlight a share and click edit:
magicdelux 5
Yes, but aren't they only for shared folders only? The directory '/volume1/emby' is not part of a shared folder.
Carlo 4330
It probably was at one point in time. I'd strongly suggest going through each share and setting this up for piece of mind moving forward.
