Failed to install the package. Port configured for "Emby Server" is either used by another service or reserved for system use. Please disable or modify the conflicting service, or contact the developer to modify the package configuration

Did you try changing the ports directly in Emby running in docker? (network menu).

On the Synology install the local ports do not show up in Network menu to change.
I'm not sure in docker if they show or not or if this is controlled via docker itself.

Hopefully someone using docker can comment on this.

Yes they'll show up in docker, but you'll also need to modify the docker run command so that the server will be granted access to the new pets ports that you choose.

But another problem appeared

After installing emby from Synology package center Some movies don't work

I receive this message

playback error no compatible streams are currently available. please try again later or contact your system administrator for details.

Hi, did you take a look at the ffmpeg or server log to see what the reason was for the playback failure?

It's possible being a new DSM 7 upgrade you didn't give permission to the share this media file is located on
Check the share this file is located on and make sure the system internal emby user has read/write access to that share.

That's just a possible solution but you want to look at the log to see if it's a denied access error or an actual error playing back the file.

Looks like you have a permissions problem that you'll need to resolve:

/volume2/media/movies/The Marksman (2021)/The Marksman.2021.Bluray-1080p.x265.mkv: Permission denied

@cayars may have some tips on that.

Hello @q8wld

Check to make sure you gave the internet system emby user read/write access to your volume2/media share.

On DSM 7 go into Control Panel then shared folders.
Highlight the share associated with /volume2/media
Click the edit button then the Permissions tab

Switch to system internal users

Let us know if this fixes your problem.

FrostByte

If you already changed the share permissions under system internal user then check your folder/file permissions.  It's got to be one or the other
