Intel NUC: Desktop & ET at 1080p but mpv plays at 4K (4096x2160).

This is probably more of an mpv issue rather than ET.

I have an older 2nd gen NUC on which I run Emby server and ET. I have my desktop set to 1080 but I have a 4K TV.

I've always had this NUC set to 1080 and it doesn't have the processing power to decode 4K videos anyway - so I'm only ever playing 1080 or lower res videos.

For some reason when I start playback the video output switches to 4096 x 2160 (which is cinema 4K - doesn't even match the TV res of 3840 × 2160).

Does anyone else have the same issue? And does anyone know how I can force ET (or mpv) to playback at 1080p?

Playback is OK - it's just really weird that it switches to that weird resolution.

Video Output: gpu
Hardware acceleration mode: None
Output range: Auto
Enable deinterlacing: No
Enable display refresh rate switching: checked
Preferred Refresh Rates: blank
Enable video display syncing: Auto
Enable OpenGL high quality profile: unchecked
Enable interpolation: unchecked

Note: This is not something new, it's been happening for ages.
It's probably something to do with the Intel video drivers

No - I just tried it, and it stays at 1080p60.

Switched it back on and it changes to 4096p24.

OK well this is getting revamped for the new windows app, so let's see how this compares once that is available for testing. Thanks.

@LukeWhilst I have your attention - I like the new vertical list of options in ET - is there any chance of moving "Exit" towards the top. I use Exit more than anything else, followed by Change User and then Settings.

Oh, and what's the difference between Change User and Sign Out - they seem to do the same thing.

New windows app? What new Windows app? A replacement for desktop ET?
