Could we get an Overview (Circled "i") icon on Playlist items, same as on episodes in Season view, when used for video items?

Just make a Playlist with video items - check what's missing next to three-dots, Favourite and Played icons. 😉

I think I'm being dense on this as I'm not getting it.  What's missing?

Can you show a pic of what you're talking about?

If I didn't know you - I'd say you're trolling me. 😜

Oh man that was so obvious, I don't know how I didn't get what you were saying. :(

I think I trolled myself on that one (if possible), LOL.

What if there was a new menu item on the 3 dot menu to go to media detail screen?

Sure, that would work too, but what's the issue of adding an additional standard icon? It ain't like there's lack of space there. 🙄

Hi,

searching through Playlist threads I found this one..... hopefully you can help:

Don't know what I miss, but I can't "see" the three dots beside the playlist movies/episodes..... to go back for example to the movie details page.

Issue: I want to organize playlists for my family-watching-evenings, but want to show them trailers before we decide what to watch next.

Right now I only can start the main-movie from the playlist :(

Screenshot enclosed, I'm running Emby on current version iOS.

Seeing that's iOS, i.e. mobile client, and assuming it works same as Android mobile client - there ain't three-dots there, you do a long-press instead. However, there is no Item Detail page there either, so you can't get to those trailers, as there's is no overview icon as well. That is definitely something that should be worked on. @Luke

Thank you for your immediate help, enclosed screenshot of "long-press" - didn't know it's the same result like the three dots - I tried before, but didn't resolve my goal:)

And as you described, unfortunately there's no way to jump to the movie page or directly watch the trailer....

I've been wanting this basic feature for such a LONG, LONG time and pretty sure I asked before.

I want to say it was in a long time ago, but was removed for some reason.

I used to hand edit the JS files, but they changed a while back and I just decided to stop doing it since I upgrade often and just want things to work without me tinkering on something.

But please add some type of shortcut to playlist items' detail page!

At the very top of the 3 dot flyout menu, you show an image, the title and year of the item... just add a hyperlink to that area since it is already there and really isn't doing anything useful.

PLEASE ADD THIS! :)

Thanks!

Yea I think for video playlists it might make sense.

Any update on above, maybe?

BUMP...

Sorry... just wanted to bring this back up.

I really would love this and not just for the web interface, the Android/FireTV interface as well (or especially to be honest) - it stinks not being able to see details or even just play a trailer with the way it is now.

Thanks!

+1 for this feature request. Playlist view is a deviation from the rest of the UI of library view of TV/Movies.

Watching on a TV, the list view makes thumbnails hard to see as they become a fraction of the size in regular libraries.

Is it also possible to get a grid view within Playlists?

Did we ever get closer to implementing this?

+1 for any video playlist view other than "list". Default movie view would be great. There's just nothing you can do in Playlist view except play.
