AthelriC 0
I have my emby server on my F210 NAS, and when my brothers tryes from her home to watch a movie the buffering its too small and gets a unplecent watching expirience, now on my house, i have a 600mbps internet conection, the NAS is connected to the network by a cat 6 cable capable of 1000mb, and watching the banwith i see that the upload speed dosnt go higher than 8 or 10 MBps, wich mean 64 or 80 mbps. My question is if theres eany config option to let emby server upload more than that so my brother can have a smoth play in her home. AthelriC 0

Carlo 4330
When you think it's hung up, check to see if the web interface is still working. Check to see if an ffmpeg log file is being generated. You can also check the server log. It could be transcoding is happening and taking longer than you thought.

At least on the dashboard says direct play
Carlo 4330
Have him try and playback again and while he's playing the file go to the log menu in the Dashboard. Do you see an ffmpeg log at the top with a time that matches his playback? If so upload that here for us to take a look at. If no ffmpeg logs are shown it's most definitely a direct play. vdatanet 1549

Luke 37049
Hi, I would suggest lowering the in app quality setting to reduce the bitrate via server transcoding. Please let us know if that helps. Thanks.

Thats exactly not the point of getting a full remux of a 4K movie, i recently pgrade my internet conection to get more upload speed to see if that helps. now, my question is that with 300mbps i should have (300/8=37MBps) but emby server its not traying to use all the bandiwth, if I use the option to get more buffering, the emby server will try to upload more? That will be a challenge over most internet connections. What is the download speed at the client end?
vdatanet 1549
I could not stream this type of content until I upgraded my connection to 600/600 Mbps. To maintain a sustained 80 mbps (average) requires a very good connection. In addition, there can be peaks of up to 120 Mbps. Another problem you may have is that your ISP throttles the connection and limits streaming.
