Hi, Are you logged in as an admin of the system?

What do you mean by this?  What takes 2 days?

I read some post before, Emby need times to update the metadata and media info, not mean it take two days to update, just i wait two days and confirm it not update.

Try running a scan against that library again.

When it's complete upload your server log file.

I look into the log, find some directory and files no access right ( I don't know why...), after add the access right, it's OK now, thanks a lot.

But I have another question, I use server configuration backup plugin to migrate the users setting from old NAS, all user setting restore to my new NAS, but I change any setting, it can't save, any idea?

This could be a permission problem on the configuration files.  I would check permissions on the Emby Server config folder.

Can you teach me how to check it?

Need to SSH the NAS to check files permission?

HI, please try refreshing the metadata on this title and see if that pulls in media info. If it does not, then please attach the emby server log. thanks.

After I grant the permission to all the media folders and files, the media info updated, it's working now.

What version of DSM is running on the Synology?

I'm using DSM 7, the most update version.

Emby server is 4.6.4.0

So you're all good now?

No, I think we are discussing after the user config restored, I can't change any user settings.

Can help?

Why can't you change user settings? What happens when you try?

Please attach the emby server log from when you tried to do this. Thanks.

Can you make sure that recursively, the emby system user has write permissions on /var/packages/EmbyServer/var ?

@cayars may have some tips on this.

Try this from an SSH/Putty console with Emby Server shutdown.

sudo -i
<enter admin password>
chown -R emby:emby /volume1/@appdata/EmbyServer

After it completes restart Emby and see if that fixed your issue.

Stop emby, run the command and start emby, still can't save the user profile changes.
