jmarcet 1
Hi, I am still keeping the version tag for emby at 4.5.4.0. Anything after that makes the web player unusable for all kinds of videos By unusable I mean it transcodes all videos, included those which the browser on its own plays all fine. They are videos I make myself, recorded from live tv with audio transcoded from mpeg to aac so chrome can play them with no issues, yet Emby, after version 4.5.4.0, cannot anymore. Are you aware of this? Do you need a sample video? Isn't there anyone else who has noticed it? Edited July 21, 2021 by jmarcet

Luke 36889
Did you explore the stats feature in the video player to learn why it was transcoding? What does it say?
jmarcet 1
It does not say why:
Luke 36889
Please attach the emby server and ffmpeg log from when you tried to play. Thanks.
jmarcet 1
Hi, There you go: embyserver.txt & ffmpeg.log for a wrongly transcoded video, i.e., current emby version embyserver.txt: playing the same file correctly, with no transcoding, i.e., emby version 4.5.4.0 Edited July 22, 2021 by jmarcet
