  1. Running Emby for Windows on XBOX S v 1.1.568.70. Never had this problem before until about 6-9 months ago. When scrolling through TV episodes, trying to pick one to watch, the app will crash and return back to the Xbox main screen. It's random, not always the same series, not always the same place, sometimes it will work for a few minutes, then crash, sometimes immediately, it's very random. I have a video if desired. Nothing in the server logs other than regular data.

    Emby Theater for Xbox Series S

    I am having trouble playing back any 4k movies from my library using emby theater. I recently got myself a xbox series S and a soundbar. When I press play the screen will stay black, while it "plays" I can access the popup menu and the dashboard shows that I am reading the file. But no sound or Image at all like they are incompatible or something. If i try to access advanced tips for geeks it crashes the app back to xbox home screen. I am connected to my server locally so bandwith shouldn't be a problem. The dashboard shows that it direct plays most 4k movies I have but even when it's not direct play and transcoding, the image is always black and no sound with 4K content. I've tried a few 1080p and it worked fine. The same movies play fine on web browsers and mobile apps. Do you have any idea what could be wrong? For your information I am using a Samsung HW-Q600b not using ARC. Instead the xbox is connected directly into the xbox and then to the TV.
  3. Hey everyone, I just updated to 4.7.6 yesterday and it seemed to clean up any stuttering that was occurring on my end with h265 (hevc) files using Direct Play. (Xbox Series S was tested on) I’d have a look yourselves if any issues are still occurring. I’m still not sure what was causing the issue but it seems to be corrected on my end for now. Thanks for the hard work devs!
