Downloading media from Emby quickly fills up the unRAID docker image
ryzen5000 posted a topic in Linux
Hello, I am wondering why when my users download media remotely from emby for offline viewing and camping trips that my docker utilization goes up to 75% then I get warnings and then the docker image goes back to normal size after they finish downloading? Volume mappings isn't set right so the data is being stored in the image instead of persistent storage? is temporarily storing files in an unmapped path inside the docker image as it downloads, before moving it into the mapped storage area? Can i fix this by modifying the template? mapping cache or data to a share on my unraid server? Which would it be that I need to map to persistent storage so that people can download media without errors for offline viewing? -
Ok I have added some new movies as I have done for many years but today they got added I went to play them and they said “Playback Error” then totally disappeared! removed from the folder and re scanned! then created a new folder called movie test and it’s done exactly the same and won’t play... please advise as I wanna watch this film, So Badly I’ll attach the logs if I am able but don’t wanna be Pissing about all night, Regards L33 IMG_9831.MP4

Emby in Docker on Unraid server: Items deleted due to inactive disks
WonkoTheSane posted a topic in Linux
Hi all, I'm facing a problem with Emby which I cannot seem to solve. I'm using Emby mainly as a centralized media database for movies and tv shows for my Kodi clients. This works quite well, except for the fact that regulary thousands of old media items that were not recently added or modified get synchronized on the clients. I looked into the server logs and I found a lot of entries like the following: Unraid powers down disks that are not accessed after some time and it takes them some seconds to wake up and be accessible again. My suspicion is that in these situations, Emby determines that files/folders were deleted and consequently removes the related items from its database. The obvious question now is: Is there a way to fix this? Thanks for your time Matthias
