I have a following show structure and I wonder if TV show library type could possibly accommodate it (just by dropping it in it does not). All other anime series fit well in one or two levels. I imagine I could merge the lowest levels and add "arc" as part of title. Or maybe use mixed library type only for this series. Or maybe there is a way to leave TV Show and hack this particular entry to use mixed type?

I need the main page only shows individual seasons of TV shows. Not the TV shows information is displayed first, then the season information, and finally the episode can be selected, its need to click 3 times. When I chose to display the seasons of the same TV show separately, the main page simply showed 3 identical TV shows, instead of showing each season separately. I think this "show the seasons separately" feature may be needed. At the same time, I also ran into a problem: I put files from different seasons of the same TV show in different folders, and their root directory is my D drive or E drive, and I can't scan both drives. I don't want to prefix these season folders with "S1" or "S2" or something like that, because I name them after the seasons in the languages of the three countries, which would ruin the beauty of my stored files. But the fatal problem with this is that my emby can't scan the metadata of the season, it can only scan the video file but not the TV show or the season information, not even the local information (which I used to search and store with TinyMediaManager). In those season folders, I named each episode according to the format of "S1E1" and "S1E2", so it shouldn't be a problem to scan the information of the episode files within the season (at least on TinyMediaManager, each folder was successfully scanned separately, and it was automatically merged into one TV show after merging into KODI). I'd like to be able to add a certain amount of text search to the TV show information like TinyMediaManager to help the scraper find the right TV show and season information. This will help me to ensure that the information of the TV program is correctly searched by the scraper even if the file is stored in my way. I understand that my question can be a bit tricky, I'm not trying to make it difficult for someone, it's my way of storing data. I think it is efficient. Let me know if there is anything need to add please. It would be nice if could get a solution, thanks.

Hi all, Please forgive me in advance as I am not familiar with posting on public forums. I have tried to search but have only found results for multi episode files in a single season. I have a TV Show where the episodes are only a few minutes long, and the single video file contains all the episodes for both season 1 and season 2. (It is contained in a single Volume) I know how to rename the file so EMBY detects all the episodes in a single season. Example: <Show Title> 01x01 - 01x10 How would I go about naming the file to pick up that it is episodes from two seasons? I have tried the below but it only detects the first season episodes. <Show Title> 01x01 - 02x10 <Show Title> 01x01 - 01x10, 02x01 - 02x10 If this will not work on EMBY, would there be any alternative suggestions?

To whom it may concern, I'm running Emby Server version 3.2.36.0 on Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard. The problem that I'm having, while minor, is still annoying. First a little background on my Folder arrangement — which is necessary to illustrate the problem. On my sever I have a folder called Media, under which I have several sub-folders — each of which is a network share — named Books, Films, Images, Music, Shows and Video, respectively. Under both the Films and the Shows sub-folders I have 27 additional sub-folders — each of which has a one-character name, starting with 'A' and continuing on through 'Z', with the 27th having a name of '#'. For films, for example, all of the titles that start with a number (e.g.—2 Days in the Valley (1996); 7th Voyage of Sinbad, The (1958); 9 (2009); 12 Angry Men (1957)) has a correspondingly named sub-folder under Media\Films\#, which contains its video file, and all of its other related metadata files. I do this for all of my movies: Titles starting with "A", are located in sub-folder A under Media\Films, titles starting with "B", are located in B, and so on, for the rest of the alphabet. No problem. Emby Server recognizes this structure, and handles the metadata for each movie in its self-titled sub-folder with absolutely no trouble. When it comes to TV Shows, on the other hand, Emby Server is not so accommodating! As mentioned earlier, my Shows sub-folder has the same arrangement as my Films sub-folder (i.e.—sub-folders named "A" through "Z", plus "#") — however, Emby Server treats each of the "A" through "Z", and the "#", sub-folders as though it were the primary repository for a TV Show! Even though there are other sub-folders within each of the "A" through "Z" sub-folders for actual TV Shows, Emby Server still place images and .nfo files directly into the "A" through "Z" sub-folders! Plus, when I go into the Emby Metadata Manager, the "A" through "Z" sub-folders are themselves identified as TV Shows! For example, sub-folder "L" is designated as the resting place for The L-Word, sub-folder "Z" for Dragon Ball Z, and so on. Deleting the files and changing the designations in the Metadata Manager does no good, as Emby Server simply changes them back and re-adds the files! I have to "lock" each of these sub-folders to prevent Emby Server from re-applying the designations — of course, this has the undesired side-effect of disabling metadata updates in all of the sub-folders that reside therein (with each sub-folder containing an actual TV Show)! Also, this problem has appeared in all of the versions of the Emby Server that I have used (I started, years ago, with, what I think was, version 1.something). I find it odd that no one else appears to be having the same problem. I doubt that I'm the only one who has this folder arrangement. In any case, thanks for an otherwise nice product.

Hi Guys, If I go to a tv show, I see all episodes the "netflix" style but I can't go the episode page, maybe it's just me but I think the options on the right (like the web UI) disapeared on LG app. I can't choose options (subs, audio) before starting playback. Had to start playing and then change my options. But, on the starting page, if I go to CONTINUE WATCHING, I land to the episode page with options Is there a way to go to the episode page on the season page ? hope this is comprehensible, thanks

External Subtitles not displayed on the list of subtitles in my TV Show library.
uberstar100 posted a topic in General/Windows
Hi, I've put my subtitles on the same folder where the content is in and I made sure of the format that it's supposed to be in (Aaaaa.eng.srt, I think) and I've restarted and scanned my emby server several times, and I still get no external subtitles. What should I do? Also, is there any specific format for Episode and Season external subtitles or can I name the subtitles however I want, just as long as the language is formatted perfectly (Aaaaa.ara.S01E01.srt)? -
Hello. I just downloaded and installed Emby today after having used Plex Media Server for over 5 years. I love Plex but recent updates have made it where the transcoder is crashing on Movies and there is no work around in sight for the time being, so I moved to Emby. I just want to say I love Emby and it is working flawlessly for my Movies but I am having an issue with TV Shows. I previously just used the TV Shows folder on my External Drive to store the shows we watch and Plex would automatically sort them but series and assign them under one cover art for us to watch. With Emby it seems it is only recognizing TV shows if they are in their own folder. The only show that is like that is B: The Beginning and that is a FileBot setup for that particular show. How I currently have my TV shows is as follows: G:\TV Shows\Episiodes (show name - #x## - episode title) I see that Emby wants you to do it as this: TV Shows (main folder for all TV Shows) TV Show (e.g. Wynona Earp) Episode Information (e.g. 3x03 - Colder Weather) What I want to know is if it is possible to have it the way I have done it or do I need to create separate folders for ALL the TV shows I have and move them accordingly? If so I guess I can do it but I have a TON of shows and I was hoping there was a work around. I tried the Auto Sort plug-in and pointed it to my TV Shows directory but it doesn't seem to be doing anything. I have attached a couple of images. Thanks, WarEagleUS

I have trying to add a folder (set as media type TV) containing a TV series to Emby library, but am having some trouble getting it to identify the series and its episodes and pulling the meta data. I have done a few other series and the "Identify" feature worked fine, however, that option is not showing up when i add this folder. The episodes will only show under the " Latest" tab and does not populate any of the shows info or structure like it has with other series. When i go in to metadata manager and select the folder level, the External IDs section has no options to add anything. Each ep file does heve those fields open, and i paste the IMDB and/or TVdb ids int ot them, but nothing else changes? Am i doing something wrong? IMDB id: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt3793630/ TVdb: http://thetvdb.com/?tab=series&id=282756&lid=7

Hi guys, I already had in the original tv show "Les Revenants" (French version) and occurred while adding that the American version, "The Returned," the Emby Server applied the same cast of the previous series. I deleted the new series and indicated the IMBM id code, but it did not solve. How can I do to Emby apply the cast correctly?
