Not getting "tvg-shift" from EPG list

Good afternoon, I´m quite new to Emby, have been using Plex for a couple of years but decided to try out Emby because the support of m3u tuner. The guide shows everything right, the correct channel mapping and logos but it is not able to get tvg-shift from my m3u or/and xml link. I know it´s correct because i´ve tried it in stand alone IPTV-players and Jellyfin, but Emby does not get the correct timeshift. Is there someting I am doing wrong or is this even supported? According to the support site for "m3u-tuners" Emby is able to use those tags and show correct timing. Sincerely, Ivan
  2. I wanted to try IPTV, so I added an m3u and epg, but decided I didn't want it, so I deleted the IPTV mu3 and EPG. I also played with tags to restrict access to some channels, but I've taken them off now. So I have just the normal Freeview channels and the virtual TV channels. As you can see from the screenshots, I don't have a guide, but do have the same information from the individual channels. I've rebooted the server, but really don't have a clue what's wrong. I've run the refresh guide task from scheduled tasks. I suspect it's remembering something it shouldn't. The information is there, as it's in the individual channels, but the guide isn't displaying it. Incidentally, the Tortoise Channel is a CCTV camera showing my Tortoise's shed. As you can see from the screen shot's it's weird. Can you help me? I've also put the channel icons for the virtual TV here, in case you want to use them embyserver (2).txt
  3. Hello, Thanks in advance - I'm hoping someone can advise if this is a known issue or something else? When viewing the live tv guide the date shows the month of January, the actual date of the day is correct and when you open the program details the date is correct so this does not effect recordings/ timers etc It's just the date shown on the front page of the guide that is wrong. Date and time settings for the Emby app: Date/time local: English (United Kingdom) Date and time settings for the apple tv: Set automatically - London - 24 Hour Emby app version: 1.7.4 (2) Apple Tv version: tvOS 16.6 (20M5548b) Windows Server version: 4.7.13.0
  4. I have a huge collection of old cartoon network bumpers, classic superbowl commercials, etc. Right now I have a library just for commercials and bumpers, My users have said how they never get anything done because they fall in an endless trap of watching whole seasons because of the autoplay. I thought it would be cool to play a 1 or more short videos after every x hours of video watching or between tv shows. For instance, my end goal would be to download all good commercials and bumpers and eventually map out every show to a tv guide that goes back to the beginning of such things. It would be cool to have this type of feature where you choose to watch comedy central in 1995 april 10th etc. The shows etc would be exactly in the order they were originally.
  5. Running latest beta for Samsung phone, but was happening prior. If I select no channel tags, I get no channels or listings - I have to select a channel tag to populate it. As soon as I unselected the channel tag, it goes back to being empty again. I have tried clearing cache and data, uninstalling and rebooting the phone
  6. option for QUICKLY viewing tv guide without stopping the video in emby for android app currently this feature only exists on emby for android tv but is nowhere to be seen in emby for android. i would use emby for android tv but it keeps crashing every second time i open it. the other good thing about emby for android tv is i can see even more channels while in the quick view tv guide that is displayed over the video.
  7. Hi Is there any shortcut to the overlay tv guide in the Emby windows application?

    Channels with no guide data

I'm using ICETV for my guide data and over the last number of weeks there have been a number of channels with no data (Channels: ABC HD, NITV, Viceland HD). From what I can tell from the attached .xml file, all the information seems to be there, but it isn't showing up in Emby. Any clues what the problem could be? shows.xmltv

    TV guide overlay?

I found a bug in the LG TV app with Live TV, but it got me thinking. I used the SIPTV app before, and they have a feature where you can watch TV guide/switch channels when playing the current channel, like it happened in this bug. Maybe it would be possible to map such an overlay feature to one of the color buttons (red, green etc.) on the remote? It will need some work to make the overlay text look better/clearer but it wasn't too hard to read already. Not sure If it's difficult to reproduce this bug, but it happened when viewing TV guide, I clicked on the current program in one channel then quickly clicked back on the remote. And also, will the primary screen when opening Live TV via the my media section up top work the same as Webapp/Android, I'd like to click on that directly to open TV guide.

Which EPG provider are you using?

I'm currently using server wmc, but the windows media center guide is always dumping, leaving me with "NO DATA AVAILABLE". This happens maybe every 6wks. I've tried all of the tricks, but ultimately end up having to rebuild everything - which is a real headache. What's everybody using? I'd prefer a free service that I can also integrate into my KODI build, but would consider paying for a robust application. Thanks..
  13. Hi, I watch tv in Emby using MediaPortal TV Server and MediaPortal TV Plugin on my Windows 10 PC. EPG is imported dayly and genres are mapped correctly. Recording works fine. However, no movie metadata is loaded by Emby for the elements mapped to the movie genre. Is that a known limitation of using mediaportal TV Server as source, is it a bug or is it just misconfiguration by me ? If it's the last option, how to set that up correctly?
  14. Hi i am having problems with Emby for android i am running a Emby server with the latest server software Version 3.2.70.0 and i was running Emby for android V2.9.86 but found that the tv guide was very very slow to load and it would cause the device to freeze then crash so i uninstalled that one and installed V2.9.07 the tv guide works fine but this one has other problems like if you set the quality to anything other than Direct it would most of the time just not play the tv channel it will just go back to the previous screen. so i tried Emby android TV v1.5.32g problems with the tv guide plus you can't change audio track it will just crash on you, and it would be nice if it loaded/changed tv channels faster like it does when you enable the VLC player with it. all in all not so good now i know that with all the changes made to the server software the apps are going to play up but if i could just get one to work properly would be a start and any news on when the next server update will be out for windows ? apart from that thank you for a great job (most of the time ) just kidding Dallier

    EPG TV Guide Simple Scan?

Is it possible to integrate a simple EPG scan for IPTV channels? In TVHeadEnd you can set the Service ID to 1 and it will read the xml file and import the channels then fairly quickly import the EPG (instead of it taking several hours in TVHeadEnd). This prevents it from actually connecting to each channel to verify it's reliability which I assume the EPG/TV Guide in Emby is doing. Is there a way for Emby to import the IPTV channels and Guide quickly? Or is it possible as a feature request? Currently it takes about 30 minutes to import the guide data of about 1700 channels. Or even have the ability to specify how many hours of EPG data to retrieve. Something like 6 hours, 12 hours, 24 hours, etc.. Thanks.

    TV Guide - Colours

Just wondering about whether it would be a good idea to add a bit more colour to the TV Guide. Personally was thinking, maybe adding alternate colours to the rows to just help with tracking left to right. Admittedly it could look terrible, but maybe with some subtle variation it might look fairly reasonable. Or maybe graduation in the rows - light(ish) grey to darker, or whatever.

    TV Guide and playback problems

Hi, I have a number of issues with the TV Guide and Live TV playback on Chrome, Firefox and Android Mobile. Android Mobile - the guide is one hour out, eg at 16:30hrs the guide shows 15:30hrs. This is not apparent on the FF or Chrome WebUI - see screenshots. Firefox and Chrome: Selecting the play icon from the "Whats on" list results in a never ending spinning circle. In Firefox and Chrome, Live TV will not play. Choosing a program from the Guide and selecting Play, results in a black playback screen. Closing this screen using the X in the top RH corner sometimes will play audio and sometimes not. Checking the server dashboard there is no indication that anything is playing. Logs show a remux log every time. NextPVR app: 3.9.2 NextPVR plugin: 3.0.6143.20454 Dev: 3.1.6168.41403

    TV Guide not showing.

Hello everyone, I have Emby (3.0.5781.3) on Ubuntu Server (14.04) with TVHeadend Server (4.0.7), and the TVHeadend plugin for Emby (TVHclient 1.0.5628.29938). I have Schedules Direct setup for my guide provider, and I have an active membership. I have subscribed to my local antenna channels in Schedules Direct, and I setup Scheduled Direct as a guide provider in Emby using my login, my ZIP code, and using the antenna lineup. Live TV is working, but my guide is not working within Emby. I have tried refreshing the guide data, and even restarting the host machine. What do I need to do to get my guide working?
