Would it be possible to add a playlist view on a selected playlist. If you have a lot of movies in a playlist the list view gets to be a lot. It would be nice to be able to choose what type of view you would like to see in the selected playlist. Like the picture attached.

Pretty simple suggestion. I have multiple users for my Emby server. If I want to do continuous maintenance on the media, I have to tell everyone. some of them are harder to reach than others ( i.e. no Facebook or Skype chat etc. ) It would be great if say... on the admin panel, I could hit a check box that enables 'maintenance mode', where the server still runs does everything as normal, but instead of the login screen it displays a maintenance page saying the server is unavailable. Even better if I were able to directly put a reason in a text box that would then display on the login screen as well. Not really sure what others would think of this, but for me it would be quite helpful. mostly if I want to make sure no one is trying to access content I know won't work until I've done a full library scan again. Thanks for reading. -Kyle

Love the plugin but was wondering if in the settings where you add podcasts list(see PodcastImage1) if a Default be added that will let you set the Default Sort by(see PodcastImage2) and View(see PodcastImage3) I just got the plugin and added all the podcasts I listen to. Now I need to go into each one(I have a lot) and change the Sort by and view for each podcast. If there was a Default setting for Sort by and View that would make my and I am sure others who have a lot of podcasts life a lot easier. *edit added Suggestion to Title.

Hi there, I've installed Emby server on my QNAP TS-231P2, it worked well. However, recently due to the internet blockage, when Emby tried to pull metadata from TMDB, it always got a time-out. So I'm thinking of using a proxy to solve the problem. Unfortunately, I didn't find any HTTP proxy settings in Emby control panel. Therefore I decided to install shadowsocks and privoxy to turn Socks5 proxy into a HTTP one. Too bad the privoxy rules just didn't work. Even after I added HTTP_proxy and HTTPS_proxy into the environment variables, and the command like curl or wget worked fine for api.themoviedb.org, the traffic from Emby seemed not to pass through the proxy and got time-out again. I wonder if there is any other means to solve the problem, either from a system level or software level. Also, I'd like to know if you are adding proxy settings in the future versions of Emby. Thanks for your help in advance. Any suggestions are welcome. A piece of log is attached to show the typical situation. 2020-04-20 19:58:13.506 Info HttpClient: GET https://api.themoviedb.org/3/movie/342588?api_key=f6bd687ffa63cd282b6ff2c6877f2669&append_to_response=casts,releases,images,keywords,trailers&language=zh-CN&include_image_language=zh-CN,zh,null,en 2020-04-20 19:58:33.521 Error HttpClient: Connection to https://api.themoviedb.org/3/movie/342588?api_key=f6bd687ffa63cd282b6ff2c6877f2669&append_to_response=casts,releases,images,keywords,trailers&language=zh-CN&include_image_language=zh-CN,zh,null,en timed out 2020-04-20 19:58:33.590 Error ProviderManager: Error searching *** Error Report *** Version: 4.3.1.0 Command line: /share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/.qpkg/EmbyServer/system/EmbyServer.dll -programdata /share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/.qpkg/EmbyServer/programdata -ffdetect /share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/.qpkg/EmbyServer/bin/ffdetect -ffmpeg /share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/.qpkg/EmbyServer/bin/ffmpeg -ffprobe /share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/.qpkg/EmbyServer/bin/ffprobe -defaultdirectory /share/CACHEDEV1_DATA -updatepackage emby-server-qnap_{version}_arm-x41.qpkg -noautorunwebapp Operating system: Unix 4.2.8.0 64-Bit OS: False 64-Bit Process: False User Interactive: True Runtime: file:///share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/.qpkg/EmbyServer/system/System.Private.CoreLib.dll Processor count: 4 Program data path: /share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/.qpkg/EmbyServer/programdata Application directory: /share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/.qpkg/EmbyServer/system MediaBrowser.Model.Net.HttpException: MediaBrowser.Model.Net.HttpException: Connection to https://api.themoviedb.org/3/movie/342588?api_key=f6bd687ffa63cd282b6ff2c6877f2669&append_to_response=casts,releases,images,keywords,trailers&language=zh-CN&include_image_language=zh-CN,zh,null,en timed out ---> System.OperationCanceledException: The operation was canceled. at System.Net.Http.HttpClient.HandleFinishSendAsyncError(Exception e, CancellationTokenSource cts) at System.Net.Http.HttpClient.FinishSendAsyncBuffered(Task`1 sendTask, HttpRequestMessage request, CancellationTokenSource cts, Boolean disposeCts) at Emby.Server.Implementations.HttpClientManager.CoreHttpClientManager.SendAsyncInternal(HttpRequestOptions options, String httpMethod) --- End of inner exception stack trace --- at Emby.Server.Implementations.HttpClientManager.CoreHttpClientManager.SendAsyncInternal(HttpRequestOptions options, String httpMethod) at Emby.Server.Implementations.HttpClientManager.CoreHttpClientManager.SendAsync(HttpRequestOptions options, String httpMethod) at MovieDb.MovieDbProvider.GetMovieDbResponse(HttpRequestOptions options) at MovieDb.MovieDbProvider.FetchMainResult(String id, Boolean isTmdbId, String language, String country, CancellationToken cancellationToken) at MovieDb.MovieDbProvider.DownloadMovieInfo(String id, String preferredMetadataLanguage, String preferredMetadataCountry, CancellationToken cancellationToken) at MovieDb.MovieDbProvider.GetMovieSearchResults(ItemLookupInfo searchInfo, CancellationToken cancellationToken) at MediaBrowser.Providers.Manager.ProviderManager.GetSearchResults[TLookupType](IRemoteSearchProvider`1 provider, TLookupType searchInfo, CancellationToken cancellationToken) at MediaBrowser.Providers.Manager.ProviderManager.GetRemoteSearchResults[TItemType,TLookupType](RemoteSearchQuery`1 searchInfo, BaseItem referenceItem, CancellationToken cancellationToken) Source: Emby.Server.Implementations TargetSite: Void MoveNext() InnerException: System.OperationCanceledException: The operation was canceled. Emby for Kodi is awesome, but there's one issue that continues to plague the user experience in my opinion. If you don't turn off auto-updates, when you boot up Kodi you're immediately met with two competing processes: 1. Add-ons that auto-update upon boot, 2. Database sync between Emby & Kodi. If you decide to process library updates from Emby for Kodi's overlay, the sync may cancel when your add-ons get simultaneously updated (ie. Embuary rebuilds the menu). To resolve, you either have to reboot Kodi or reboot Emby for Kodi in add-on settings to re-initiate sync. Here's a couple random ideas to improve this: 1. An IFTTT solution, where Emby for Kodi checks if auto-updates are turned on, then waits until that process completes before attempting to process Emby library updates. 2. A simple 45 second delay before the sync options overlay, which may be enough for majority of auto-update tasks to process prior to sync. 3. Lower the opacity of the overlay screen, so users can see auto-updates complete in the background before pressing the green "yes" button to sync library updates. I'm not sure how many run into this problem, but it feels like an unnecessary annoyance whenever I boot up Kodi, especially with so many frequent updates. Hope this was useful as Emby for Kodi heads towards a stable release!

hello I would like to see a filter for the resolution of the tv show content type, to make it easier to find the 4K content or filter out lower resolutions. in the case of TV shows with episodes that have varying resolutions, I suppose the highest resolution could be used. I'd also like to see a filter for TV shows that have missing episodes, specials excluded. this would make it easier for admins to manage their content. finally I would like the display of the location of the TV show or movie to be shown again when clicking on the poster. this was removed in 3.5 for some reason, at least for the TV show and movie content types. at least make it an option for admin accounts, to make it easier to manage content. thanks again.

Would it be possible to get better reporting on missed/failed recordings? for example the schedule page could display them with a visual clue on success or failure? Also, it would be good that the scheduler give some feedback if there is a recording conflict during creation of a schedule as well as in the schedule page! thank you!

Just a note. When choosing my media icons (small), the three dot button for different options (edit images, etc...) is partially obscured. It's there, but partially covered up (at least for me on my 1280 x 1024) desktop screen. I can see the top two dots, but not the bottom one.

I don't know if this is already possible, but if it is, I'd love it if someone could explain Alright, I've got a computer hooked up to a television screen, I use that to watch my media. However, late at night, I have to turn it down so I don't wake my family. I thought that it'd be a cool feature to be able to plug headphones into my phone, which I usually use to remote control the playback, and hear the sound, allowing me to mute the television, but hear through my headphones. Hopefully you understand what I mean by this, and thanks for your time!- 2 replies

Hi there so I was noticing whenever I use poster view it is alot easier to "remember" what movies I have backed up and see all of them BUT it does not have details of the movie when hovering over it. I enjoy uaing coverflow view for this reason BUT then you have to scroll by a single row. My suggestion is to add an option to add details with poster view. I know it then basically makes coverflow view useless or just a copy of poster view but it would be a nice thing to have.

I recently came across PseudoTV, a plugin for XBMC. Its quite possibly the coolest thing ever. It's basically a fancy form of media shuffle, It takes your media and generates channels. Its great for when you don't know what to watch, or just want something playing in the background. Anyway, I was thinking that perhaps MediaBrowser could do something like this. I'm not asking for MB to support the existing PseudoTV plugin or to attempt to clone it, but at the very least I would like to have some kind of video shuffle feature that will group certain media, and automatically play the next file. Perhaps this could be called "Jump In" where MB randomly takes a video file, picks a random start time, and starts playing it. Having this be available in the Web UI or MediaBrowser Theatre/Classic, would be amazing.

I'm new to poscasts, but enjoy some of what is out there that I have discovered in the educational relm. I've been thinking about some added features to the Mediabrowser 3 plugin that might provide some more ease of accessing them. From various posts I have been finding various members with similar difficulties in finding workable and desirable podcast links. Somewhat of a trial and error work in progress to find workable ones. Is there a possiblity that a search feature could be added within the server podcast plugin to eliminate the finding of compatible podcast? This search feature might also have the capibility to impliment automatic account sign ins for podcast links that require the same, when adding said member podcast link to Mediabrowser 3 server. Just a thought for maybe some future tweaks to the podcast plugin.

Hello, I have four accounts set up, two of which are for the kids. Both have age limits set on them, but this does not seem to be honoured in the suggested movies. I was doing some testing when I went to the movie suggestions under my daughter's account, I saw this: The movie in questions shows this metadata: Two things: 1. The movie exceeds the age limit that was set 2. The movie is not even in a folder that her account has access to. Anyone else have examples like this?
