In-Progress Emby Server & Theater - Additional Extras/Special Folder Types for TV Series (similar to Movies)
funwithmedia posted a topic in Feature Requests
As I mention in a related post, I love the additional subfolders for Movie Extras (eg, Shorts, Scenes, Interviews, etc.)! It would be awesome to extend this functionality to TV Series as well. Specifically to add support for many/all of the same folders supported for Movie Extras, eg, extras specials shorts scenes featurettes behind the scenes deleted scenes interviews trailers As well as any additional folders that get added in the future (eg, hopefully Galleries). Support Placement of "Extras" Folders Within Each Season Folder, Plus A Naming Scheme to Link A Particular Extras Folder with a Specific Episode (eg, "\Season 1\E1 - Deleted Scenes\" for episode 1 deleted scenes): I want to clarify that it would be great if these various "extras" folder types could reside within each Season folder. So for example, within a Season 1 folder we could then have an "Extras" folder, a "Deleted Scenes" folder, a "Featurettes" folder, etc. And furthermore, that we could designate a particular folder to refer to a specific episode (eg, "\Season 1\E1 - Deleted Scenes\" for episode 1 deleted scenes). See more below, particularly why I think this would be so useful: https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/55915-emby-server-theater-additional-extrasspecial-folder-types-for-tv-series-similar-to-movies/&do=findComment&comment=587195 Thanks for your consideration! Emby Server & Theater - "Easter Eggs" Movie/TV Extras Folder
funwithmedia posted a topic in Feature Requests
I love the additional subfolders for Movie Extras (eg, Shorts, Scenes, Interviews, etc.)! I would like to propose an additional folder: "Easter Eggs". This would be intended for content that is usually hidden somehow within a DVD/Blu-ray menu (eg, Incredibles 2 Easter Egg List). What would be nifty about having a folder designated for this content is that then perhaps someday someone could write a plugin that would handle this content differently in how it is displayed in Emby apps, somewhat approximating the original experience of hunting for easter eggs in the DVD menu (eg, maybe a movie with easter eggs would display a special icon, and that would clue the user into needing to hunt for a link they could navigate to, but which was hidden somehow, in a similar fashion to how this sort of thing works in DVDs/Blu-rays). Now admittedly this is very much in the "nice, but not necessary" category. But it's a fun idea so I thought I'd put it out there for folks to possibly vote on if they're interested. Also, note that just as with the Galleries folder feature request, I would want this to also be available to TV shows, as noted elsewhere. When I try to stream videos from my emby server (latest stable version) through kodi addon using http (didn't try through UNC paths), special characters appears with ? instead of the characters. Also that only happens with emby/emby addon/kodi, plex/plexbmc/kodi works fine with the same subs... Subtitles are Brazilian Portuguese. Is there any fix for that or only converting the subtitle to UTF-8 would solve it? I have a script that downloads the subtitles automatically, and I really wouldn't like to have this extra step of fixing subtitles after downloading them... Thanks Cassio EDIT: Please let me know if I should provide any log file

I have a few episodes of a tv show that are considered "Specials" during the TV Series Season. Since these episodes don't have an episode number in TheTvDb they do not Auto Organize. Is there a way to get these episodes detected since they do not have an episode number? Maybe on the Episode name? If none of that is possible what is the best way to organize these episodes in the Season to display correctly in the emby clients?

Special Watched Status is Affecting Series 'Next Up' presence
ginjaninja posted a topic in General/Windows
Version 3.0.5434.27057 (although not peculiar to this version) I have a series 'toast of london' that would never show up on next up despite watching episode after episode of series 00 then 01.. I have Season 00, 01, 02. turns out that if i set the watched status of the single special episode S00E01 to unwatched, then the next episode in season 01 would appear on next up. With S00E01 set to watched, no episode from season 1 would ever appear on next up With S00E01 set to unwatched, any of the episodes after the last watched from season 1 would show up. ie the issues is 100% re-reproducible, as i flag s00E01 watched/unwatched and test. The only thing i can forsee as being unusual about S00E01 is that TVDB has it marked to air before S01E01. indeed S00E01 shows up under season 1 in the webclient (maybe thats expected now?) tested from web client. any ideas? the other strange thing...having deleted all the XML from the media collection folders for this series, no amount of scans will fetch the xml back...although mb has no trouble knowing what it is. (under details of the show the tvdb metadata/links are all there) completing removing then readding the show seems to get the show and season (but not episode) xml back again... turns out the logs report a problem, even though there is nothing wrong with the tvdb get, and the show is indeed found 2014-11-17 21:07:38.4081 Info - App: HttpClientManager GET: http://www.thetvdb.com/api/GetSeries.php?seriesname=Toast+of+London 2014-11-17 21:07:38.8402 Info - App: TVDb Provider - toast of london did not match toast of london 2014-11-17 21:07:38.8402 Info - App: TVDb Provider - Could not find Toast of London. Check name on Thetvdb.org. even after a complete show removal, rescan, show re-add to library and rescan..the watched status of s00E01 still controls whether the show shows on next up.- 2 replies
