Hello everyone. I have a media library that is for Podcasts. So far it has been a really good experience with podcasts except one thing. Audio podcasts do not remember their last position.(no resuming). I believe if I set the content as Books it would work as Books are for audiobook, in this case it would remember. However my podcast folder has video and audio because of this books will not work as the video podcasts are filtered out. Is there a way to enabled audio resuming on a mixed content library?

I am unable to successfully add the following podcast urls to the Emby Podcast plugin. http://www.thebrewingnetwork.com/sundayshow.xml http://www.thebrewingnetwork.com/jamilshow.xml http://www.thebrewingnetwork.com/sourhour.xml http://www.thebrewingnetwork.com/drhomebrew.xml http://www.thebrewingnetwork.com/brewstrong.xml All 5 podcasts give the error message in the log that I attached. I have been able to successfully add these podcasts to other media programs (Subsonic) and wanted to try the podcast feature to try to remove some software running on my computer. Thanks EmbyLog.txt

Will support be added for podcasts that require a username and password to obtain the RSS feed? For example, I subscribe to Mysterious Universe Plus+ (http://mysteriousunivers.org/plus/) and I use the following to get the feed: http://mysteriousuniverse.org/feed/muplussq/ If I enter either http://mysteriousuniverse.org/feed/muplussq/ or http://user%40email.com:password@mysteriousuniverse.org/feed/muplussq/ into the Podcasts Plugin, I get an error: The remote server returned an error: (401) Unauthorized. Entering http://user%40email.com:password@mysteriousuniverse.org/feed/muplussq/ into IE or Chrome works fine for me. The plugin works great for other feeds that don't require a login. And I do have other ways of downloading the feed and adding it to my collection, so this is not a big deal. It would just make everything flow more smoothly if it was incorporated. Thanks!

I'm having an issue getting the Podcast Plugin (1.0) to do much of anything. I have 2 RSS feeds installed: http://feeds.feedburner.com/ctrlclickcast http://joeroganexp.joerogan.libsynpro.com/rss But when I run the Refresh podcasts task I get a generic message about "Refresh podcasts failed" and nothing in the logs about it. I've tried clearing the logs, restarting MB3 Server, restarting the PC, nothing makes the Podcast plugin write to the log. Any ideas guys?

You're on a dev server and it looks like it breaks Podcasts. @@Luke what changed here?

@ebr Was hoping you may be able to add a feature to the podcasts plugin to display a default image if none is specified in the RSS feed. Similar to what snazy2000 has done with the IPTV plugin but only use it if the RSS feed doesn't specify one. (I like all my pretty pictures )

I sideloaded from Beta 13 and purchased when available. It plays everything beautifully except….podcasts for some reason. Every time I try to play either BBC, NPR or TED podcasts/vodcasts it just displays the buffer circle and does nothing. I have to hit the back key (Samsung hardware button) many times to back out and then kill/resart the app to resume normal operation. I use both the NPR and BBC Android apps and they stream audio/video natively on the tablet with no problem. I don’t see anyone else mentioning this in the forum. Any ideas? Thanks, Tanamur

I'm new to poscasts, but enjoy some of what is out there that I have discovered in the educational relm. I've been thinking about some added features to the Mediabrowser 3 plugin that might provide some more ease of accessing them. From various posts I have been finding various members with similar difficulties in finding workable and desirable podcast links. Somewhat of a trial and error work in progress to find workable ones. Is there a possiblity that a search feature could be added within the server podcast plugin to eliminate the finding of compatible podcast? This search feature might also have the capibility to impliment automatic account sign ins for podcast links that require the same, when adding said member podcast link to Mediabrowser 3 server. Just a thought for maybe some future tweaks to the podcast plugin.

At the moment I only have the Hubblecast HD podcast added but I'm keen to find some more suitable for the family. Topics include: Video games? (xbox 360 reviews, trailers, etc) Movie reviews? Does anyone have any recommendations?

Hi @@ebr - Thanks for the great podcast plugin. My situation is that I live in an area without great internet speeds (1-2 Mbit/s down on a good day). So, streaming audio can be spotty and streaming vodcasts like TED can't keep up. Could I suggest adding a download feature as described below? My personal solution is to use the download & autotag feature in Media Monkey and set up a Media Library podcast repository entry as Music. Media Monkey subscriptions have quite a bit of control to download and retain over a specified date/episode range which may be a feature of interest to others. Also, the tagged podcast artwork in RAL is always available after autotagging. I realize this is way down on the list of things to do but what do you think of this as an enhancement? Thanks, Tanamur

Hello I was listing to NPR San Diego State University KPBS Show called Radio Lab while i was driving in last Saturday around 9 PM and it hit me i like Radio Lab show and it is only Radio but NPR or KPBS does have podcast for this show however i am never home so my Feature request is to be able to Recode Podcast using MB3 Podcast plugin Thank you very much
