Hello all, I updated to 4.6.0.50 yesterday and thought I would have a butchers at the logs. I see several of the below errors after a clean restart and scan. There is only one quite old post with the same thing and mentions updating the plug-in. I was just wondering if it would be possible to do a plug-in to control lifx light bulbs you have for the Philip Hue lights? I use Lifx light bulbs and it would be nice to have the same feature that the Hue lights have in emby. Not sure if it could be done, but just I would ask.

Ever since I updated to 4.5.3.0, when my kids switch from one stream to another before it finishes, the dashboard tile representing their connection will begin flashing back and forth between the new stream and the cancelled one. This would only be an aesthetic problem, except it is clearly breaking playback reporting. Hundreds of zero-duration streams (at least 1 every minute until the client browser is reset) are added to the logs, and the duration of real streams is not being properly summed. I've noiced that if I am fast enough, I can hit the stop button on problem stream from the dashboard as it strobes back and forth. These appears to fix it, but can hardly be considered a solution. I'm on ubuntu server 20.1 anybody else having this issue?

Hi there, since mid June (logs just date back till June 18th), my emby server (Version 4.1.1.0 running under Linux > unRaid in docker) can no longer connect to trakt for syncing the library. "Import Playstates from Trakt.tv" works fine. "Sync library to trakt.tv" constantly faiils. I already got a new PIN, no success. Hello, I have not been able to send email notifications using TLS/SSL using the email notification plug-in. I am able to send using non-secure settings. I have attached the log of the tests I have done. I am in the process of migrating my server to FreeNAS 11. I was not able to send using secure setting on my previous Freenas 9 set-up. The backup plug-in backs up playlists but not collections in appdata\roaming\media-browser-server\data I use custom artwork in my Collections and it would be useful to have the backup plug-in backup all user data. Having to manually backup the collections folder is a major annoyance.

The anime plugin adds additional TV show metadata providers for anime series. Data is currently provided by AniDB and AniList. Features include: Choose between localized, Japanese, or romaji titles for series and episodes. More extensive cast lists, including additional roles such as character designer and composer. Additional anime-specific genres, such as "Mecha" and "Slice of Life". Supports organizing sequels as either additional seasons (the default Emby behaviour), or as independent series. Organizing your Media There are two organization standards supported by the plugin: AniDB or TheTVDB. In both cases, Emby will be capable of fetching metadata from all sources, however the TVDB format is recommended due to limitations in Emby's file parsing schemes for special episodes with absolute episode numbers. You can mix organization formats between different series. It is important that your episode numbers match however they appear on TheTVDB or AniDB, respectively, depending on which structure you are using. TheTVDB TheTVDB typically organises each related anime into its own season under a top-level series group. For example, the Monogatari franchise, Bakemonogatari and its sequels (Nisemonogatari, Bakemonogatari: Second Season, and Owarimonogatari) are each represented as seasons 1 to 4 of "Bakemonogatari": Use this format if you want to group related series together as "seasons". For me, SoundCloud is one of my favorite sources for music content. I love digging through its content and following connections between SoundCloud users. Having this content available within Emby would allow accessing it even from situations where you got nothing more than a remote control at hand. The existing SoundCloud channel plugin apppeared to be of rather low value to me. Personal information (with login) was limited to playlists and the implementation was subject to quite a few bugs and issues and hasn't been updated to accomodate the API changes at SoundCloud. I have the Google Drive plug-in installed and configured according to the Wiki and the threads on the forum. I have managed to get some music files transferred to my Google Drive (after emby converted the flac files to mp3). So everything was running fine. So, I thought, "Cool, let me do some more." So I selected a bunch of my fav Wierd Al tunes for syncing. emby converted everything to MP3 but when it came to transferring the files I get errors (log attached). Issue: Ever since installing the Anime plugin (awesome by the way since it adds so much missing information) it has started to replace many of my covers from many anime series. Even after putting the covers back how I want them, every 24 hours or so they would revert back to what the anime plugin finds. How do I know this? @@Aphid I have started allowing the plug-in to add the anime specific genres to each series but I noticed something. It appears to limit the amount of "tags" added as genres to each series. Is there a way to get all the tags turned into genres, at least having the option to do so? We can use the Genre Cleaner plugin to remove any unwanted genres. For example in "Vision of Escaflowne" it lists Genres:Fantasy / Mecha / Romance / Shoujo / Anime Tags: Adventure / Transforming Robot / Dragon / Angst / Steampunk / Alternative Present / Parallel Universe / Piloted Robot / Fantasy World / Shoujo / Action / Sci-Fi I would like those tags to be Genres as well if possible. I notice that some of the genres also appear under tags and vice versa so couldn't we have all the tags become genres and the genres become tags?

Hi, I don't know if this is the future plans, but I really enjoyed the "intro plug-in" that EBR made to MB2. It made the whole experience much greater, and it amazed alot of friends. Will we see a similar plug-in later on in MB3 too? Link to the old plug-in here

Having trouble with CoverArt not applying the selected treatment to my box set collection. Most of the covers are fine but newly added boxsets appear very strange. I have tried refreshing the collection through the web interface but nothing changes. The first 2 screenshots are what the new boxsets look like and the 3rd is what they should look like I am using CoverArt 4.0.2.1 Thanks server-63517023229.log

This is a plug-in that will allow you to define exactly what genres should appear in your metadata. You can define which ones are allowed and which ones are mapped (or turned into) one of the allowed ones. So, if you have genres like "Country" "Alternative Country" and "General Country" and you just wanted them all to be "Country" you can make that happen. Anything not defined as allowed or mapped to an allowed one is discarded from your metadata. The workflow for configuration is as follows: First decide for which type you wish to define genres: You then get a fresh configuration page. You can use the "Initialize with all current genres" button to get started which will fill in all of the genres that currently appear in your collection as allowed: Once you have that list, you then can either enter entirely new genres you'd like to allow, delete genres from the allowed list (which will discard/ignore this genre) or hit the "Map to..." button and map that genre to one of the other allowed genres.
