    4850 Server docker in synology

hi I don't have enable real time monitoring anymore with this update (it's there, and checked, but it's not monitoring and updating) 4th time now I'm starting the task manually in the last 2 days. the recent docker update to 4850 is the only thing that has changed on my side. is this a possible explanation? some changes? bugs? anyone else? thanks!!
  2. Hi there everyone, I found a relatively older thread in this forum about this problem related to some Synology issue. I did a fresh install of the latest version today and it doesn't seem to detect changes. I have 10 movies and 4 series quite a small library. I added a new episode and a new movie. Not that much of a deal but I'd like to know if it's still an issue or if other people are experiencing the same. Cheers.

Library can’t update when media added

Hi All, I am running version 4.4.2.0 on my synology DS218+. My current workflow as below: Radarr seek for movie -> sabnzbd / qbittorrent download movie -> radarr renamed movie and move to my library -> emby scan and update My file structure of my library as below: /movies /movie tile(year) /movie title (year) Bluray-1080p Proper DTS x264 The trouble was emby library scanner can’t recognize the files downloaded with nzb, but good with files downloaded with torrent. Anyone can help with this? Thank you so much.

Docker image of Emby stopped adding movies.

Recently my Emby server stopped adding Movies to the library. Server version Version 4.0.2.0. Realtime Monitoring is enabled for both Movies and TV folder. TV shows are being added to the library and Movies are not. Just added a new show to the library and it added it and scanned for the new folder. Movies are not being added at all however. This started to happen at the beginning of February. Didn't notice till this week, I use Emby sparingly so it took a bit to notice. A manual library scan does not add the movies either. Using Sonarr and Radarr respectively. I checked the permissions on the Movie and TV folder and they are different. New shows are being added to the server using UID and GID nobody:nogroup. I have since changed the permission in Radarr to reflect the Server (unRAID) default. chmod 777 on Folders, and chmod 666 on files. chown nobody:users After the above permission changes Emby is still not adding new movies to it's library but is adding TV shows with the same above permissions. Content works fine with KODI, no issues there. What should I be looking for in Emby?

    Real Time Monitoring BASH Script

I've modified a bash file monitoring script that I found here to update the library when a file changes in the given directory. So the script sends a curl request to update the Emby library when detects a change in any file inside the given path, it also works with files inside sub-directories. Thanks also to this post for the curl request. You just have to change de path and add your Emby API key to the curl link. The script runs every minute but this can be changed in the end where the sleep command is. To run it in the background you just have to execute the command: nohup /root/watch_emby.sh >/dev/null 2>&1 & This is for all linux users who don't have Real Time Monitoring. If you also want you can change the cmd variable to execute something else than the library update. Enjoy! watch_emby.txt

Pulseway + Emby Server Service Monitoring

I have been using Pulseway for all of my servers and my computers for a while. If you're familiar with it then check it out as it's a very good program for monitoring and manipulating your computers/servers from anywhere. It has the ability to monitor services such as SSH, FTP, etc. The issue is that I'm not terribly strong with Linux (Ubuntu Server 14.04) and knowing boot types and all that jive is something I've read about but I'm not easily able to identify based on service information. Here's the sample config file that they provide for Linux. The specific section is regarding services: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <config xmlns="http://www.pulseway.com/linuxconfig"> <!--Pulseway Linux Monitoring Agent - pulseway.com --> <!--Monitored Services--> <MonitoredServices> <!--Service - Name: service name - DisplayName: friendly name used for display - IsDaemon: 'true' if the monitored service is a daemon and 'false' if the monitored service is a process - DaemonType: system management daemon type: NONE, SYSVINIT, UPSTART or SYSTEMD - Path: path of the monitored service (this is used when the monitored service is a process) - StartParameters: parameters used to start the monitored service (this is used when the monitored service is a process) - CanBeStopped: 'true' or 'false'--> <Service Name="cups" DisplayName="CUPS Service" IsDaemon="true" DaemonType="SYSVINIT" Path="" StartParameters="" CanBeStopped="true" Enabled="false" /> <Service Name="ntpd" DisplayName="NTPD Process" IsDaemon="false" DaemonType="NONE" Path="/usr/sbin/ntpd" StartParameters="-p /var/run/ntp/ntpd.pid -g -u ntp:ntp -i /var/lib/ntp -c /etc/ntp.conf" CanBeStopped="true" Enabled="false" /> <Service Name="ssh" DisplayName="SSH Daemon" IsDaemon="true" DaemonType="UPSTART" Path="" StartParameters="" CanBeStopped="true" Enabled="false" /> <Service Name="SuSEfirewall2.service" DisplayName="SuSE Firewall Service" IsDaemon="true" DaemonType="SYSTEMD" Path="" StartParameters="" CanBeStopped="true" Enabled="false" /> </MonitoredServices> The question I have is what to provide for the various fields (correct anything that I've provided if necessary): Name="emby-server" DisplayName="Emby" IsDaemon DaemonType Path StartParameters CanBeStopped="true" Enabled="true" I've tried the IsDaemon as true and false and varying DaemonTypes. I've checked online for what each type means to try to match it but nothing seems to work. Emby's service goes down, which normally would send me an alert via e-mail, and I get no notification on it. Anyone who's successfully gotten Pulseway to monitor the emby-server service or know what the missing fields would be? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Matt
