Hey guys! So I wanted to use Emby to import movies from an old hard drive. Being an old hard drive, and with a bunch of backups in it, it's got movie files in a lot of folders. So I used the drive itself as the media folder to import and selected content type as Movies. However, it's showing me all kinds of non video files (like .bin now in my library. Any way to smartly pull only the video files into the movie library? Thanks!
For mixed folders, is it still possible to have tabs for latest, genres, people, and studios? For example, I have a mixed media folder for documentaries that contains TV series and Movies. It would be nice to be able to still have tabs for genres so that I could select content that I've labeled 'Animals', 'Space', or 'History' for example. At the same time, it would be good to be able to goto the studios tab and see all the NatGeo or HBO docos all in one place. I understand that mixed folders are tricky because you don't know what media types are in the folder, but I still think that all the content would contain genres, people, and studios etc, and if it doesn't, then maybe just could just be excluded while viewing that tab.
Aussiedroid posted a topic in Emby TheaterHi All, Had a bit of a play around with MBT for the first time last night and noticed that all my Documentaries were mixed in with my Movies and TV sections on the main screen (with no Documentaries section showing). MBC has them all separate as per the media folders I created in MBS. I assume this is because I have created the Docos with 'Mixed content' type in MBS? I see that I can navigate to it via the 'Collections' section but this doesnt really suit as I don't want to mix up my fact & fiction content. Also noticed the same config with the iPhone app that I tried last night. Is there a way to change it back to the way MBC and previous versions have worked so each of the Media Folder collections (Movies, TV, Docos) appear as a separate main menu in MBT and doesnt mix up the content? Thank you, Aussiedroid
