I encountered the following two issues on Emby 4.8.8.0 - Adding to favorites shows two instances of a song and removing the song from favorites removes both instances - Playing a file doesn't load the correct name for the song. You have to select the song again to see its correct name. Both of these two issues are shown in the following video taken on an Android phone. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1pix77fNK9-AMxWXnF_207BaC-zbkrJoN/ The "favorite" issue is also reproducible on Samsung TV where two instances are added/removed for the same song. The song for "favorite" issue is available through the following link. There is no copywrite or licensing for it. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1plp3F1a-wyaVFdmEyf-ICtZwMpnW-OGU/view?usp=sharing Emby Version 4.8.8.0 Emby for Android 3.3.95 Emby for Samsung 1.8.0 Emby server log is attached. embyserver.txt

Hello Emby community, I'm really hoping someone out there can help shed some light on this for me. Try as I might I have not been able to get an external player, in my case VLC, working with Emby Theater on Windows. Back when Emby was known as Media Browser, I was able to get VLC working fine. I've found some good posts on the forums and spoke with some kind people but have still not had any luck. I've copied my settings to match exactly with the settings in this post... https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/43054-considering-emby/?p=402646 No luck, Emby Theater still plays any video files. I have also tried copying the settings from this post... https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/31284-external-player-support/page-6&do=findComment&comment=323052 Same issue, VLC is not loaded and Emby Theater still plays the video. I've tried cutting back on the amount of arguments, and even using no arguments, but I have not been able to get VLC to play. I am running Windows 10 and Emby Theater 2.5.35 I would greatly appreciate any help. Thanks!

This issue is present for me on the current version of Emby server, not sure what version the issue began. I have not changed any of my server setup settings. The issue I am currently now having is accessing the Emby server and beginning to stream media, the full duration of the video starts at about 0:09 and gradually increases as watching. For example, if a video were to be 45 minutes long, when beginning to stream emby will show 0:00/0:09 and as I jump to the end the duration increases incrementally. This is very annoying especially if I am trying to seek through the playback or continue where I may have left off on another computer or account I have to have the video playing and continuously click the end of the video to expand my available seek. Looking for any help I can get with this. Its happening more frequently now, especially with newly added media content. I have tested on different browsers and client devices. Have attempted setting the quality to different levels, including auto, issue is present throughout all tests. This issue occurs when connecting inside of my LAN via HTTP and externally via HTTPS with the emby generated self signed cert. My server is running on Windows server 2008 R2 Virtual Machine 16 thread Xeon E5 2660 dedicated to the machine 8GB of RAM 12TB 7200RPM RAID 5 NAS for storage 70/70MBPS WAN and Gigabit LAN with a dedicated port on motherboard and switch for the VM. Maximum bandwidth for server is set to 35mbps via emby server management.

I've been using Emby now for about 5 months. A month or so ago, my server got reset and I'd been too busy to get it up and running again until today. After a bit of putzing, including a uninstall and reinstall of the lastest stable server, everything seems to be working except for accessing the server dashboard via Chrome. When I access the server via localhost or my IP address on port 8096, I'm getting a blank page that appears to be the black Emby page background. No images. No menu. No error message. Earlier today, I was able to initially access the page to set up the server via Chrome, but it seems as though once I logged in, the next time I tried to access it all that would load is a blank page. The same thing happened when I tried to access via Chrome on another computer... first time, I was able to select the user, log in, everything was good. Then the next time I tried to access the server, I got a blank page. I've also tried MS Edge, which loads the page as it should every time, so it seems to be something unique to Chrome. I've tried clearing cache, cookies, etc to no avail. I've also tried disabling all Chrome extensions and updating Crome. Still no luck. Any idea what could be going on? I did not have the issue with Chrome a couple of months ago. Thanks, Tara Emby server version: 3.0.5933.0 Server OS: Windows 10 pro Server log: (attached) server-log-63597703674.txt

The Guide on Emby Live TV is excruciatingly slow to load and needs several page advances to get to some of the programming I want to tune. I knew I can set Favorites which show up at the top of the guide but sometimes I'm not looking for a Favorite Channel. I suspect that the guide needs to parse data from the internet each time i loads but could this be down with some sort of caching scheme to speed things up? I see this issue with the PlayOn app too so I think it is an issue with Emby that could be improved. Thoughts? Comments? Feedback? Is something in the works for this? I have no log to put up as I don't think this is something that will show in the logs. Thanks.
