As I'm transitioning from Volumio and Plex to Emby to centralize my usage to one app, the one thing I'm missing the most is gapless playback. This is particulary annoying when listening to albums like "Dark Side of the Moon" by Pink Floyd. I'm experiencing a buffer of about 1 second in between songs, which really ruins the immersion. Would be awesome if this would be implemented in both the Chromecast, and web player.

As I mention in a related post, I love the additional subfolders for Movie Extras (eg, Shorts, Scenes, Interviews, etc.)! It would be awesome to extend this functionality to TV Series as well. Specifically to add support for many/all of the same folders supported for Movie Extras, eg, extras specials shorts scenes featurettes behind the scenes deleted scenes interviews trailers As well as any additional folders that get added in the future (eg, hopefully Galleries). Support Placement of "Extras" Folders Within Each Season Folder, Plus A Naming Scheme to Link A Particular Extras Folder with a Specific Episode (eg, "\Season 1\E1 - Deleted Scenes\" for episode 1 deleted scenes): I want to clarify that it would be great if these various "extras" folder types could reside within each Season folder. So for example, within a Season 1 folder we could then have an "Extras" folder, a "Deleted Scenes" folder, a "Featurettes" folder, etc. And furthermore, that we could designate a particular folder to refer to a specific episode (eg, "\Season 1\E1 - Deleted Scenes\" for episode 1 deleted scenes). Request that Emby server store Dolby Vision (including profile), Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, HDR10+ (smpte2094) and HLG for appropriate video in the db and use it for display in the media info and track selection sections of movie/episode details screen. http://www.operasoftware.com/products/tv-store I saw Opera TV today on my TVs apps, and I know it's a long shot, but I think a wide enough range of TVs use the Opera TV apps and it might be beneficial to have a dedicated app for the TV to browse media in, instead of an ever failing DLNA link which keeps dropping in and out. currently DLNA between my sony kd-55x8500b, and windows 7 PC Media Browser Server, keeps dropping out. it annoys me, and I think if an app can connect (android app never fails), it would be better. any ideas? cant connect over remote unless on the internal via tailscale or something like that. realistically want it linked to my domain and be able to remote connect safely without other clients needing anything but emby. i have port forwarded all relevant ports to the correct internal ips. tried mullvad and proton for vpns but they dont offer a dedicated open port for me to use. using canyouseeme to check if ports are open shows nothing but either refused or time outs on the ping. thanks for reading

I know filtering by subgenres has been requested before (I believe most recently five years ago) but it does not appear to have received a solution. Filtering by Genre only (such as Horror) (please see screenshot below) is very broad when there are hundreds or even thousands of movies on a server. Being able to then filter by subgenre, such as Horror > Slasher, would be very helpful. I presume most metadata sources contain more data for movies than only (in the above example) Horror but also some subgenres?

Hey everyone, I have recently started seeing the following error popup everyday in the server alerts. Would anyone know what is causing this issue and a means to fix it? I am running Emby on a Synology DS920+ and the emby server version is 4.8.3.0

There is a great and well maintained open IPTV resource here: https://iptv-org.github.io Their m3u files contain the guide URL via x-tvg-url. It would be ideal if emby could support this to make setting up this free resource far easier.

Some pieces of media have not loaded so I've check the folders themselves and discovered either the media file itself not being in the folder or nothing at all. I have no idea what is going on, I have check any user that could delete media and that doesn't check out. whatever the issue is can be tracked down by the log right? embyserver.txt

The server config backup plugin isn't creating backups. It shows (failed) in the Scheduled Tasks page. I think i was going to try this feature when it first rolled out in emby. Sounds cool as heck to take a picture and have it show up on the server! But realized it would upload all photos in my gallery to the server. I've got nothing to hide, but having labels that i need to take pictures of in order to blow them up to read and other trivial crap aren't worthy of server space, but phone worthy. So i backed off doing it then. Tonight i figured i would try this out again (years later?) only to remember why i didnt do it in the first place... There is just stuff on my phone that i dont need in the server. But i figured maybe if i went into my photo gallery on my phone that i might be able to select photos to upload. Selecting one of the pictures and choosing share i realized there are many places that i can actually choose, but not emby. It would be great to share a selected picture (instead of the whole phone library). Make the share option in the photo gallery link to whatever it is in the emby android app that knows how to share the whole library? If i turned on camera upload i would then have to go in and manually delete pictures when i was back at the server. And having not played with this feature at all, would it then keep uploading pictures that i want on my phone but deleted from the server when syncing? Anyway, thanks for all you folks do, and this is far from any type of priority on my side! (I searched the topic before posting, so if someone else already has it suggested i apologize in advance)

Can you change the sorting of countries? Sort in alphabetical order. I have been using EMBY for several years, but I still struggle with the order of country selection. （可以更改一下国家的排序吗？ 按英文首字母正序排序。 我使用EMBY好几年了，到现在还是会被国家选择顺序所困扰。）

Hi guys, i got some audiobooks last weekend and i importet them directly into my library. I split my music and my audiobooks but i can't find a audio-book library type. Now i use the music type but the books called album and the files called songs. I followed the music naming guide in the wiki to group the files. In my opinion the music type is not ideal for audio-books. My Request is to create a audio-book type looks like the series in movies. If i missed the feature and it is already in emby could we extend the music naming wiki page with an audio-book part? Thanks a lot!

Just to let you all know that I've started working on a Theme for Emby-Theatre. It's not gonna happen overnight as I'm still getting my head around the code and also learning HTML and JS in the process. I've just about got the Home page the way I want it and also the Item's Details page finished. Just need to add in some extra collection views such as Coverflow, Banner and Details which i'm sure you will be familiar with if you've used Emby for WMC before. Anyways, here's a little teaser of the Item Details Page, it's come on a long ways since I made this screenshot and the top menu is now fully functional. Hi all, Just a request for the tvOS app to respect the logged in user on the Apple TV. The ideal behaviour would be to have an option to ‘remember me’ per TV user, so when changing user in control centre, the emby user would change also to reflect that. Cheers!

So, I know you can disable subs entirely, but I just want to prevent Emby from ever using subtitle files that AppleTV doesn’t natively support/only allow srt files. Is that something that’s possible? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Just reinstalled all my Emby server and Emby clients on phone and Apple TV got a fresh start On iOS Emby client I get the full TV guide and can make recordings and can beam these to the televisions On the AppleTv app when I select iptv and channels it used to spin a while and show the channels. Now it spins and the client just crashes so can’t just go direct to channels any more have to beam from my phone which is a real pain. I have a 4 series TCL TV. Sometimes when I play an HDR movie the screen goes all green and blocky. Sometimes skipping forward will fix it. Was happening last night watching a remux of Toy Story 4. Is this a know thing? I've had Emby do this on a small Android box as well.

Probably not the best title nor do I know if this is an Embuary issue or just an issue. I've been having this issue for a while now and I'm just getting around to posting it. We watch a lot of TV and when we're done with the episode we'll delete it. The deletion seems to work fine. The problem arises when I delete the last episode of a show. The episode will delete but the show image stays in the list of shows even though there are no episodes in there. Once I click in and back out of the show it disappears. It's like something is just getting stuck and when you click on it then it realizes it should be gone and disappears. Any ideas what might be causing this? Like I mentioned, I am using Embuary, so maybe it's a skin issue? Maybe?
