Out of nowhere, all my metadata images just stopped loading after a reboot. Some images do appear but its the wrong type Logs embyserver.txt

Starting with version 3.5.x, I've had issues with digital photos (.jpg) not loading, all of these images worked in pre 3.5 installs on Windows 10. I just installed Emby 3.6.0.74 beta on my Windows 10 system to see if this has been fixed upgraded from 3.4.3. Here is an example when I go into Home Videos & Photos and click on a folder containing photos. It doesn't matter if the images are nested in a sub folder. IMG_5284 below will never display in emby. If I reinstall version 3.4.3 it will work just fine, this only started happening once I upgraded to 3.5 and beyond. I've rescanned the folder, I've taken these images and put them in their own folder and only added that one folder to the library to see if they'll load, but nothing has worked thus far. Examples below: If I click on IMG_5284, I'm presented with the following image: I can click on the download link and the file will download and I can open it just fine on my computer's photo app, it just doesn't work in emby. I've searched through the community but haven't found a solution to this problem.

I've just upgraded to Ubuntu 15.10, and am running emby 3.0.5785.0 New movies I'm adding do not display the images. I've run a Metadata refresh - which this appears to hang, with no noticeable difference after 24hours, - stuck on waiting circle. If I view the details of the movie, then select edit and identify, and replace image, I get no result. For that same movie, I can see that the IMDB data is correct. I can see the cast and crew images. I can see recommendations. Just not displaying artwork for the movie. If I try and examine the logs, the browser page hangs as the log files are 350mg. I notice that the current EMBY version is 3.0.5785.8, don't know why I'm on .0 - I've stopped and restarted the service, I've checked and installed the latest version from opensuse.org So I'd like some assistance in getting the artwork to display, and installing the latest version.
