Hello! I have an external server out of my LAN I have the android client version 2.3.06 on android version 4.1.2 a .mp4 movie with .srt external subtitle on the server if it played back with the inner player, the subtitle shown perfectly (direct streamng) but if it played back with an external player like mxplayer for example i get too (direct streamng), but the subtitle does not shown this tells me that the server does not send the subtitle when an external player? is this correct? Or am I missing something? It would be nice if the subtitles can be streamed when an external player has been selected Regrads

External Subtitles not displayed on the list of subtitles in my TV Show library.

Hi, I've put my subtitles on the same folder where the content is in and I made sure of the format that it's supposed to be in (Aaaaa.eng.srt, I think) and I've restarted and scanned my emby server several times, and I still get no external subtitles. What should I do? Also, is there any specific format for Episode and Season external subtitles or can I name the subtitles however I want, just as long as the language is formatted perfectly (Aaaaa.ara.S01E01.srt)? -

Some customers, using Internet browsers (including Chrome) and the LG TV app, are reporting that external captions do not appear on most videos, though they are scheduled to be shown. After several tests with such clients, I have noticed the problem, which can be easily solved. When playing the video, the caption is on. If the client disconnects the subtitle and restarts, then the subtitle is displayed. Is it possible to put this bug in the solution queue after verifying on new tests? Thank you very much

Hi, Emby Server 3.0.8500.0 (Windows 10 64-bit) is unable to serve external .srt subtitles to Samsung Tizen JS9000, whereas Serviio is successfully able to do so. Proper DLNA profile configured for Samsung Tizen TV in Emby and confirmed to be in use. The subtitle profile section contains the below: <SubtitleProfiles> <SubtitleProfile format="srt" method="External" didlMode="CaptionInfoEx" /> </SubtitleProfiles> Wireshark TCP capture for failed Emby external subtitles serving scenario showed the following wrong section: <CaptionInfoEx d3p1:type="srt" xmlns:d3p1="sec" xmlns="sec"> http://10.42.0.167:8096/Videos/e59398b141080a191c061086f182d404/e59398b141080a191c061086f182d404/Subtitles/4/0/Stream.srt </CaptionInfoEx> Wireshark TCP capture for successful Serviio external subtitles serving scenario showed the following correct section: <sec:CaptionInfoEx sec:type="srt"> http://10.42.0.167:8895/resource/1/1_SUBTITLE.srt </sec:CaptionInfoEx> This issue is tied to the methods in MediaBrowser.Dlna/Didl/DidlBuilder.cs which should be checked. Looking forward to have this issue fixed..and making Emby The One & Only ! Regards.

External subtitles are not working when playing something over DLNA. I have the subtitle profile in the DLNA profile for .srt as External Download. And I can see from the logs that the profile is getting loaded correctly. I can see the subtitles when I play the movie from the web portal. Also if I change the Subtitles profile in the DLNA profile to "Embed within container", I can see the subtitles, so the subtiles are recongnized by the server. I am trying to play this on Philips HTS3564. I am using dev build 3.0.5902.22871. Also tried the release build to no success. I was following the below thread, which later suggested that the issue was fixed. http://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/12885-dlna-support-of-external-subtitles/ Any help would be appreciated.

It's about the first time I'm using MB3 and just bought the Android app since all the apps seems amazing. But I can't get the subtitles to work. When I do an "Advanced Playback" and select the subtitle (which is detected)... I receive the transcoded video (instead of direct streaming) but the subtitles still missing. Is there something that I need to do on the server ? I've already setted my pref language for subtitles also installed LAV Filters. Lastly, the entire point for me of all this setup is to play this on my Chromecast, but seems like when select the Advanced Play option the Cast button get disabled. Any ideas if this is expected or not? Thanks, keep the good work!
