OK so I really like the look and feel when using Kodi + Embuary Skin as the interface to Emby Server, which I am running in Windows 10. I could not find a great set-up guide, but managed to get it installed twice using this Youtube video: https://youtu.be/I8RsYObJb0Q by Ronnie Bailey. The first installation (with Kodi in Windows on my PC, the same one running Emby server) went fine, and looks like this (1st screenshot)., The second installation today (with Kodi on my Nvidia Shield) seemed to go OK, but after everything, it is not working exactly right. First, instead of seeing links to various episodes and movies on my home screen, it is mostly blank (or shows links to upcoming theater movies), and I have to go into the "Embuary" App. Then I can see a list of items like Favorite TV shows, Favorite Shows, etc - but clicking on them does not work. However if I click on TV shows (dynamic) and Movies (dynamic)- those work as I expect. Anybody know what I may have done wrong? Thanks in advance.

Hi guys, Not sure if I can post it here but when embycon and emby for kodi have a support here then probably this is a good place. Like in the topic I'm using Embuary skin & EmbyCon which I'm happy about. My problem is that in the default all content is present with subtitles ON Some of this subtitles are really wrong ones. How I can turn OFF subtitles by default? and where I need to do it? EmbyCon? or Emby server?

Probably not the best title nor do I know if this is an Embuary issue or just an issue. I've been having this issue for a while now and I'm just getting around to posting it. We watch a lot of TV and when we're done with the episode we'll delete it. The deletion seems to work fine. The problem arises when I delete the last episode of a show. The episode will delete but the show image stays in the list of shows even though there are no episodes in there. Once I click in and back out of the show it disappears. It's like something is just getting stuck and when you click on it then it realizes it should be gone and disappears. Any ideas what might be causing this? Like I mentioned, I am using Embuary, so maybe it's a skin issue? Maybe?

Hello, after a good hour of research and tests, I fail to operate the automatic playback of the next audio track. Everything worked without worries before, but since yesterday, no way. I have not made any updates or changes to the configuration to cause this. Seeing that I could not unblock the problem, I uninstalled and reinstalled in new, without success. I am now under Kodi 18.3, Embycon 1.9.18 and Embuary 18.7.13. I did the manipulations as described in this post:https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=2ahUKEwjjjaLIxK3jAhVEG80KHSi1AGQQFjAAegQIBBAB&url=https%3A%2F%2Femby.media%2Fcommunity%2Findex.php%3F%2Ftopic%2F55271-embycon-kodi-addon-play-the-next-video-automatically%2F&usg=AOvVaw3Kz3UNpmXSMkpWm_kQzfRt and in this one: https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=4&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=2ahUKEwjcpLPAyK3jAhVVYs0KHV2GA5UQFjADegQIAxAB&url=https%3A%2F%2Fdiscourse.coreelec.org%2Ft%2Fplay-next-track-broken%2F2304&usg=AOvVaw3XEtZWNP1Z5mV5fLIFLP4P I do not know if it's actually due to embycon or it's a bug from kodi, but I would appreciate some help. Which's pretty wierd is that work perfectly for the tv shows section, or "Videos" in settings... Thank you

I have been using Kodi with Embycon on my Android TV for a while now. Let me explain my setup first. TCL iFFalcon Android TV 4K 55" with 2.5 GB RAM and 16 GB ROM Android 8.0 (Google Certified, with Play Store) Sony HT-RT3 speakers connected via HDMI ARC Kodi 18.1 Embuary Skin Embycon Plugin I use Kodi to play videos from an Emby server over WiFi (on the web, not local). Videos are mostly 1080P with the occasional 4K playback as well. Everything was working fine when my setup was Kodi 17 on Android 7.0. I updated to Kodi 18 (stable) when it was officially available on Play Store. Coincidentally 2 days after that, my TV updated to Android 8.0 via OTA. Now the problem is when I am watching a video, the playback stops randomly and UI returns to Kodi library screen. Sometimes I can click the same video under "Continue Watching" section and resume playback. But occasionally that won't work and I will have to exit Kodi and start again. I am not sure if this is caused by Kodi 18 or Android 8.0 update on my TV. I thought it could be an issue with the Emby server and so I installed the official Emby app on my TV. I tried playing different videos for close to 7 hours over a span of 3 days and not once did it crash. I am attaching a link to the log I pulled from TV. You can see the error towards the end of the log. Please help me find a solution to this. https://paste.kodi.tv/uziliqerah.kodi

Fixed Home Videos Library - Inconsistent Thumbnails in Wide View
feerlessleadr posted a topic in Kodi
Hi - not sure if this is an Emby for Kodi bug, Embuary bug, or EmbyCon bug, but I noticed something strange today while navigating my library. I have a home videos & photos library set up on my server for some downloaded youtube videos for offline playback. I use embuary on Kodi RC2, and when I navigate to the home videos library shortcut on my homescreen going through emby for kodi, when viewing the videos in the 'wide' view, all of the video thumbnails show the the xxxx-landscape.jpg for each video (which is a generic file I put into each folder for each video, and isn't a thumb of the actual video), instead of the xxxx-poster.jpg for each video (which is a thumbnail of each individual video, and is auto-generated by the emby server). However, when I navigate to the the same library shortcut on my homescreen, but this time go through embycon, the video thumbnails all show the thumbnail of the actual video, which indicates to me that embuary is showing the xxxx-poster.jpg. Here is a screenshot of both views to show what I'm talking about: Emby for Kodi: https://photos.app.goo.gl/Ksu3yXVYAn9AJYa79 EmbyCon: https://photos.app.goo.gl/riQYcyVBT4qMkY5g8 Ultimately, I would like to have the emby for kodi view match up to the embycon view. I would just use embycon for this view and call it a day, but on my main box (I discovered this on my test machine), I use embycon for my daughter's emby profile so that she is able to watch her shows/movies, while at the same time keeping them separate from my wife and my shows/movies, and this library is not added to my daughter's profile. Here is a log of me navigating both views (clean install, other than installing emby for kodi, embycon, & embuary): https://paste.ubuntu.com/p/SmvH3y28cx/ Here is a screenshot of what the file structure looks like on my server: https://photos.app.goo.gl/3g3wYg8zg9stQgks9 Thanks for your help- 5 replies

I'm not sure if this has been asked and answered before, but I am not sure how to describe it, either. Perhaps with an example: right now, my main menu includes "BBC iPlayer", which basically opens that add-on. Instead, or besides that, would it be possible to edit the home menu to open an "empty" hub, which I would populate with different BBC iPlayer widgets?
