  1. Before "4.6.x" version, multipart or multi-version video file of the same movie can share one nfo file (movie.nfo). But now each video file has its own nfo file, whose name is the same with its counterpart video file. When I browse the libarary, the movie's metadata will use the nfo file's content of the first one of its multipart or multi-version video file list (any metdata edited in front end will only be stored in this nfo file). I think it's not really a update. Lookfing forward to your reply

    Big Sur support

Hi, Just a quick check to see if Emby is fully compatible with Big Sur before I update my server? Thanks in advance!
  3. Hello, I have been using the same PC for our media server since 2012. I started with WMC and Media Browser and have slowly migrated to Emby Server and NextPVR. I've successfully restored Windows 7 and rebuilt the PC at least 3 times over the past 7 years. Time for a new PC!!!! Okay, maybe not new. Well at least newer, faster, and more disk space. However, I'm wondering if I should try this with Windows 10. Is the latest version of Emby Server (I’m currently using 4.1.0.26) fully tested and compatible with Windows 10? Are there known limitations, issues, or things I should know before making this decision? Perhaps I should just stick with Windows 7 since I know it works. Thoughts, advise, and direction are all greatly appreciated. :-) Thank you, Julie
  4. Since the recent LG OLED TV app upgrade, Im not able to connect from the app to emby 3.3.1.0 ( latest plugin available ) Its a disappointment that an upgrade broke it, and the fact that there is no upgrades from freenas for a while. If anyone can help, will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
  5. Hello there! First I would like to say thank you for making an official Emby app for WebOS devices! My problem is that the LG Smart World site says that the app is not compatible with my device. My TV model is LH630V with WebOS 3.0. I'm very eager to try and use the app for my living room TV, since I had to use Plex for the otherwise Emby exclusive household. Thanks in advance!

    Emby Add-On Kodi 17.3

I am looking to move from MySQL to Emby server for my Kodi deployment. I have Amazon FireStick TVs (have not tested yet) and Kodi on Raspberry PI 3 on Librelec. I was was not able to get build 1.0.3 or beta build 1.0.5 to work. The beta build gave me an error about not supporting my Kodi build. The 1.0.3 build installed without error but I was not able to use it. No chance to point to a backend servers. So... 1) Is there a version of the Kodi Emby Add-on that will work with Kodi 17.3 on Librelec? 2) Are there any special steps to install it? 3) Are there any special steps to move off of MySQL to Emby server, assuming the above is "Yes"? As always, thank you for the help! -Kevin
  7. Hello, I have an Emby server set up, and I'm moving it from my main PC to a spare I have set up that I can leave running 24/7. I bought a nice large HDD, but the problem is that the spare is just a cheap $300 machine without a real GPU. I plan on using my good gaming PC to encode everything I get into a format that won't require transcoding. What should I use? H.264? If so, which level or profile? What about audio? I don't know much about it, but I've heard AAC is good. I'm using handbrake for this. I've used it in the past, but usually my focus is always getting the smallest file size with the best quality. Now I'm more focused on making a video that can direct stream to anything from old iPods to PS4s... The one I plan on using has a i3-2120 processor (3.3Gh, 4 threads, supports Intel quicksync) and 4Gbs of RAM. Running Windows 7, although I could switch to something like Debian if it would be helpful. Any advice at all would be helpful.

    WDLXTV and Emby

Dear forum! I'm planning to upgrade my WDTV Live with a custom firmware for extra features and possibilities. But before I do it, I wish to ask around if anyone tried to use it with Emby server at all? Will it cooperate with DLNA DirectPlay? Since even the official firmware is also act out with DirectPlay sometimes. Thanks in advance!
