Duplicate Smarter handling of associated audio and subtitle tracks
shanarago posted a topic in Feature Requests
My collection consists of a lot of anime or media with alternative tracks, like commentary or isolated scores. With a lot of the anime I own it contains both Japanese and English audio. However, usually if the anime comes with both Japanese and English audio it will come with two subtitle tracks. One track translates everything while the other track only translates the Japanese text. (Example below) What I would like to be implemented is a way I can associate a specific audio track to a subtitle track so when I select Japanese or English the correct subtitles will play without me trying to match both tracks whenever I decide to change the language. Also, if it could keep track of what track was selected previously when watching TV shows. I have a few TV shows that have either commentary or an isolated score (contains only the music and no dialog.) It would be nice to watch these episodes in sequence without having to change to back to the correct track. For example, I have Over the Garden Wall on Blu-ray and that show has both a commentary and an isolated score track on every episode. Additionally, I have a few Jackie Chan films that come with English, Cantonese, and Mandarin audio sometimes with multiple mixes and alternate subtitles to go with them. Ways this could be implemented could be to match by audio and subtitle track number, track name, or a manual way to bundle a set of selectable tracks. Also, I'm sure if this is already a feature, but if it is I haven't figured it out. It would be nice to select the default language by show or even episode level. Thank you.- 1 reply

I would like an easy way to see if an episode has audio commentary or not with a checkbox under Metadata settings. When I copy my tv shows, a lot of times, the pilot episodes have commentary audio but it's not easy to keep track of which ones do or don't without manually editing the title itself or looking for the audio button every time an episode plays. I attached an image of what I have in my head. A 'C' symbol or something next to it would work too, something along the lines of that. Let me know what you think!

Duplicate [Feature Request] Comment bellow the movie.
CyberPoison posted a topic in Feature Requests
Hi everyone, I have a other ideia for embyweb and emby apps, i would like than emby devs develop a way to post comments on the movies and store the comments as (Self Hosted) . So if someone have previously whatched the movies he/she can comment thought (Nvidia Shield,Android,iOS,WEB,etc...) and then we can reply but the whole thing self hosted. This is a e.g (Footage of my feature demande ) (Hosted in emby means -> Hosted in my Server "SelfHosted") Kind regards EDIT: Also i forget to precise but this feature need some moderation tools or be moderated by default by Emby Server "Self Hosted" like ban url, (Just something to eliminate all potential wrong use of this) or not clicable links etc.. (Basicly a tool to moderate it) i have family on my server and i don't want they swear on my emby server because i have also my family on it so it will be nice to have a tool to moderate comments. Waiting for @Luke opinion and @ebr to know if this is releasable and there will be a way or a hope for this in the feature and how many time it will take ? Enjoy VOTE WITH LIKE NOT WITH +1 COMMENT- 2 replies

Hello, I am currently putting one of my tv series on my computer so that I can view them through Emby when I came across a problem with an episode that has a Commentary audio track. Viewing the file (.m4v) that Emby looks at through VLC, I can select either audio track and listen to the commentary or just the normal episode. In Emby though it doesn't work. Using Chrome (updated) I select the episode (after manually refreshing-just in case) and I can select the musical note for these two options: eng - aac - LC - 160kbps - 2 ch (D) eng - aac - LC - 160kbps - 2 ch When I select either one, I get a short reload of the video and the audio resumes, but no commentary. It's always the normal audio. There doesn't seem to be a way to see which audio track is currently being used (that'd be a nice addition!) so perhaps it's failing to load the other one and then just defaults to the main one? Why would it work on the actual file with VLC but not work in Emby? Any help would be very appreciated.
