Hello, I am a regular Emby user, especially for music on the mobile IOS app. I am currently running IOS 15.0.2 and app version 2.0.10. There is an annoying issue where when I am playing back from wifi and disconnect (say walk out of range) and transition to cellular data, the app will not re-establish connection with the server, even after several minutes. Changing tabs in the app does not cause a refresh or anything. I have to fully close out of the app and then reopen to it to connect to the server again. This is especially annoying when driving and I start music in the driveway within wifi range and then disconnect when I back out. Thanks!
ShobuPrime posted a topic in Emby TheaterGood morning, I'm writing this because I wanted to highlight an issue I've been having with the Surface Pro X, which is a Windows on ARM always-connected device. The issues I'm having with the app are: It seems downmixing is not working properly for 5.1 and 7.1 audio. Audio sounds very, very low despite ensuring all settings such as the volume bar and system volume are maxed out Content with stereo audio sounds normal as far as I can tell Playback of any video over Cellular plays for about 0.5seconds, then freezes. It will continue pausing and playing like a delayed stutter with a few seconds in between. If I switch to Wi-Fi, the content will play at normal speeds, but the audio depending on the content will still be low.I've already verified cellular speeds were more then enough for playbackI've tried it with the eSIM and nanoSIM Playback through Edge Chromium and Firefox <both of them ARM64 builds> are normal. I would like to use Emby Theater for the better integrated syncing/downloading options and other benefits it provides. Since there already is an official ARM64 build, I'm wondering if some attention can be given to this issue. Thanks for your time.
tekfranz posted a topic in iOSHello we really like EMBY Server. We recently switch to a very inexpensive Sprint plan so our streaming bandwidth is probably lower. When we leave our home WiFi network, Emby will spin and stutter trying to play a higher bandwidth until we manually lower the bandwidth to a lower setting. How does the Auto Quality feature work? It doesn't seem to be doing anything to resolve the stuttering unless for example we kill and restart the App and restart the stream several times. Our solution is to manually limit the network to 720-1 Mbps. (BTW what's the visual difference between 720-1Mbps and say 720-3Mbps?) Is there any sort of of "Automatic Quality switching while in Stream Based on Network conditions" planned since it seems to be very limited right now adjusting the stream once per app session or less.
