    Media Stub Box Sets?

This was not covered in the media stub wiki. does the media stub feature only feature "one movie per folder"? I'm trying to add my Lord Of The Rings Collection blu-rays like this /movies/Lord of the Rings/ /movies/Lord of the Rings/The Lord of the Rings The Fellowship of the Ring (2001).bluray.disc /movies/Lord of the Rings/The Lord of the Rings The Two Towers (2002).bluray.disc /movies/Lord of the Rings/The Lord of the Rings The Return of the King (2003).bluray.disc But Emby is displaying Fellowship of the Ring three times in my collection (even though the paths are unique and correct). Do I need to create separate folders for each movie even though they are just stubs?

    Box Sets in Movies view

Hello all, If this has been answered please point me to the link. I did searches online and in the forum and couldn't find anything. I'm moving my collection from Plex to Emby because Plex can't deal with setting up Box Set Collections. I just installed Emby and it's working beautifully for organizing Box Sets (thank you)!! When I originally installed Emby I had one collection that has been ripped from a DVD Box Set. This is under my Movies folder so it looks like \Movies\That's Entertainment The Complete Collection\ (followed by the following four sub-directories)... \Movies\That's Entertainment The Complete Collection\That's Entertainment\ (this has 3 videos in it plus a custom poster) \Movies\That's Entertainment The Complete Collection\That's Entertainment II\ (this has 3 videos in it plus a custom poster) \Movies\That's Entertainment The Complete Collection\That's Entertainment III\ (this has 3 videos in it plus a custom poster) \Movies\That's Entertainment The Complete Collection\Treasures From The Vault\ (this has 8 videos in it plus a custom poster) Upon loading my Movies folder these 17 videos were pulled into the Movies tab individually and it looks messy. At that point I had not yet looked at the Collections tab so I don't know if it was working properly. Doing some research I came across this: https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/5147-box-sets-and-movie-view/. It seems to suggest that by putting [boxset] in the original folder name that it would pull everything together in the Movies view under one poster. I did this but it's not working. I still have all of these videos scattered in the Movies tab. The main folder name is now \Movies\That's Entertainment The Complete Collection [boxset]\ It's working beautifully under the Collections view but as mentioned I don't know if it was working prior to putting [boxset] in because I had not yet looked at that tab. Do I have to refresh something other than my browser view or clear some cache? Or did I misread this page? The last post by trusselo seems to suggest it should pull everything together in that view. I have attached a screenshot showing part of the Movies tab. All of the "That's Entertainment" and "Overture" thumbnails are what I'm referring to. I don't want to see these loaded as separate videos. As mentioned I thought all of these would show under one thumbnail called "That's Entertainment The Complete Collection". I don't even mind if the Box Sets/Collections don't show in this view given there is the Collections tab so if there is a way to block them from this tab or if I have to organize my folders differently (maybe have a \Collections\ folder for these) let me know. Also, how do I clear the metadata for a single video? The metadata that got pulled in automatically for some of the videos is this collection is incorrect and I want to clear it. Is there a "clear" function for individual files or do I have to go into each one and delete each field separately? Thanks! I'm loving this media server!!
  5. Hello all; I've been using MediaBrowser for a few years now, and am REALLY digging v3. Up until 2 days ago, I had several collections working, and I make frequent use of them, so I'd like to try to get them up-and running once again. I have one PC set up that acts as my media server (Media Browser Server Version 3.0.5154.1864). Sometimes I watch/listen to content on that same machine (MBC/MBT), and other times I use one of my Android devices to consume content. Regardless of which client I use however, my box sets/collections (while they still show up) are now appearing empty... despite the fact that I have made no changes to the folder structure/shortcuts used within them etc. None of my Media Libraries use the Default Library (which is not defined), but all of my user accounts have their own Media Libraries defined. Each of them has a "Box Sets" library defined (of type "Collections"). The one for "Whip" is defined with the location of "E:\Media\Video\Box Sets". I've recently added a path substitution as well: E:\MEDIA \\\E$\MEDIA I found another similar topic in this forum: http://mediabrowser.tv/community/index.php?/topic/4628-one-boxset-not-showing-all-of-a-sudden/ and have tried the fix there, however that does not seem to be the fix I needed. I'm guessing that this would make the box set show up, and not its contents. I should point out however, that none of my boxsets do have that collection.xml (with the exception of the one that I created to test the other OP's resolution). Since creating that XML file, I have shut down the server, deleted my "library.db" file, and restarted the server. I also want to point out, that all of my collections are made up of shortcuts (*.lnk) that point to content that is indeed properly being recognized by Media Browser in my Movies section. Box Sets In Windows Explorer http://snag.gy/KFCyb.jpg Box Sets in Library Explorer --> Please note that all of the paths listed here under Linked Children's paths show double backslashes (is this just to escape the character?) http://snag.gy/I9U1Z.jpg I have not provided any log files just yet, but please do advise if you think they will be helpful, and I will be happy to post them. Thanks in advance for any help you can offer. Blue
  6. The external IDs were present for Back to the Future Part I except for the tmvb collection ID. I went into the "collections" MBS server view and attempted to refresh the entire collection, at which point it told me the action would be "queued." However, no changes have occurred. Here's my concern: these movies were always appearing in the "collections" before whatever change took place. I have not paid close attention to when exactly "collections" were brought back into MBS as a mainstay (I know they were jettisoned from the MBC EHS for awhile, at least), but there's no reason why they should have stopped appearing/for this data to be lost. More strangely, some of these "collections" were only showing one movie (e.g., The Dark Knight Trilogy was previously only showing The Dark Knight), however now a couple of them are showing more movies again (e.g., now Batman Begins is showing up...but not The Dark Knight Rises to round out the set). It's incredibly bizarre for at least one or two movies to suddenly start disappearing from basically each of my collections at the same time without my intervention. This behavior is weird and I really think something is going on with the server, not my metadata management.

Auto Box Sets - Feature Request(s)

Hello @@ebr. Love this Plugin, but don't use it quite yet due to the way I use my own boxsets right now. I'm wondering if there could be a few options added into this plugin. First, this one I might potentially use, but I also saw another user request this in the reviews of the plugin. Quoted from Plugin Catalog; I have all my box sets in a different folder from my movies, and tend to use it to cleanup/decrease "movies" folder. Perhaps this could be tied into the Auto-Organize piece of the server, it could not only create the Boxset folders, but it could move the movies (folder with MetaData and all) in there as well. And I use the format of Name [boxSet] for all mine. So any chance if the automove/organize of the files was implemented, it could name them in this fashion as well? Just makes it more human readable when going into the folder. Also, I have a separate folder for all animated movies. It would be nice to be able to auto create boxsets in two different locations, and creating the boxsets from certain area's of my collection. Therefore when I have dumped all the Shrek, Toy Stories, etc in there, it would combine them into a boxset, but not be pulling in the other movies from a different area of my collection. I think these are quite complicated asks, so here is another possible request/option. Could it be possible for it to not create boxsets if they already exist there in the Name [boxSet] format? Thanks for taking the time to read this.
  8. Auto Box Sets Automatic Box Sets will create box sets (collections) for all the movies in your library that are associated with collections on TMDb. How it works Auto Box Sets works by creating new entities in your file system that are recognized by MB as box sets (also called collections in other products) and linking them to your actual movies using the new "Collections" facility built into the server. This will then create these box set entities for you in Media Browser and they can be accessed by any of the clients. These new collections will be created in the automatic "Collections" media folder visible from any client and editable from the metadata editor. The plug-in relies on the MB Server metadata fetching. It will only work fully if you have "Allow Internet Providers" turned on. Configuration The only configuration is to tell the plug-in how many of the containing movies must exist in your collection for it to automatically create that collection. The default is 2. This keeps you from having a bunch of collections with only one movie in them. When combined with the ability to automatically collapse your movies into collections (box sets) in the client apps, this should give you a very hands-off way to see all your content organized into collections. Troubleshooting The plug-in isn't creating any box sets Be sure the configured minimum number of movies is reasonable. Be sure your movies that should be in box sets contain the TMDb collection id The plug-in isn't creating some box sets that I think it should Be sure the movies in this collection have a TMDb collection id. Be sure you have at least the configured minimum number of movies in this collection within your library Some of my box sets are showing up twice If you manually created folders with the old [boxset] tag or with collection.xml files in them then you need to remove these. This plug-in is designed to automatically generate these folders for your entire library. You don't need the manual ones anymore. If you want custom collections, you can use the server's facility to create them now. I am seeing a box set called "MB Auto Set" in my library Confirm the metadata for the movies that are showing in this set have a valid TMDb collection id. TMDb recently removed a lot of box sets that existed on their site previously and, consequently, there are a lot of items that may now have invalid ids associated with them. Delete the invalid TMDb collection Id from these movies and then re-run the box set creation using the button on the config page.
