Not quite sure how to categorise this one. Setup: x86 server running Emby Server on Ubuntu 16.04 Android smartphones running the Android client Chromecast connected to a Sony TV When the Android client is connected to the Chromecast, but no media is currently selected, it goes into an idle mode where it displays background artwork (screencaps, posters, etc). I would like to disable this background artwork. I am typically logged into my own personal account which has access to all media, and no age-rating restrictions on content. The reason is twofold: When I want to watch my own things, and my child sees Peppa Pig artwork, she gets demandy about watching 'her' shows When I'm watching with the kids, and some artwork from a horror movie comes on, the child is disturbed by the imagery Please help, my wife is getting quite annoyed with me.

Hi guys, first off to the team; great work with the Halloween theme! That was a very pleasant surprise! Now to my point . One of the first things I noticed with the halloween theme was the background image on the overview page. I would like to implement my own image, but can not seem to find where to edit so it would show my image. Could you guys maybe help me with this? I don't mean when you've opened a movie or serie or w/e to see the info. But while looking through the movies and such. While we're at it. I'd prefer not to see the colored banners under the pictures. I'd prefer to have them in one color. What would the css selector be for that particular part? Thanks in advance!

This took about 5 to 10 minutes to do. I did it a long time ago. Here's hoping that someone will like it . This is for servers, or just plain windows. (The logo is moved up a bit to accommodate for taskbar) This is an alternate version (The logo is centered)

Started using Emby couple days ago, problems here and there, but this is something I can't solve. As the title says I'd like to change the color grey in login screen into a picture of my choice. I have no experience with css so if I had to do it myself I wouldn't know where to start. Thanks in advance.

Hi all I've had a search for this on here and can't find anything specific that relates to my question.... When playing music in Theatre (Windows 10) and I display the album art as shown, there's often a backdrop behind the album art (in this case Johan Johansson, or at least, the top of his head!). I'd like an option to turn this background off, as when the album art sits over it and crops the image it looks very odd to my eyes. Switching off the 'enable backdrops' in preferences doesn't alter it. Am I missing something? Thanks in advance.... J

I have EMBY running on widows server and i use a Asus Nexus Player to browse and play movies and everything works perfectly but... Is it possible to have a custom background on the main page ? By that i mean when i first open up the EMBY app the first screen that loads has a list of the various folders where my movies are stored, can i have a picture in there instead of just a black background ?

My music folders are filled with folder.jpg but they hardly find backdrop.jpg when running a metadata scan. This actually got worse with 4.xx since it does not inherit the backdrop from the artist. So I was wondering if there is any way to copy the folder.jpg and rename it to backdrop.jpg automatically? At least something would be in the background. I've done a few manually but it's pretty tedious.

Changing background theme and naming multipart 3D movies
OmegaWulf posted a topic in General/Windows
Hello, I have two issues I'm hoping someone can help me with. First off, I like how Emby allows you to have a background picture or video for movies, TV shows, and Music. However, I don't like the 'theme' it uses of starting the image from totally black on the left and then (mostly) visible on the right. What ends up happening is that you can only see about 1/4 to 1/2 the image. How can I change that? My second question is how do you name 3D movies that have multiple parts, such as the Hobbit movies? The naming conventions state to put "-3D" at the end for 3D moves and "-part#" for multiple parts. However, it doesn't state what to do when you have both. I've tried putting -3D and -part# together at the end but Emby doesn't recognize that. It shows parts 1 and 2 as separate movies. -
Tool to create a background of movie posters from library?
JoshFink posted a topic in Non-Emby General Discussion
At one time, maybe a long time ago, I could have sworn there was a tool that would scan your library and make a background image out of movie posters. Is anyone familiar with what I'm talking about and maybe have a link to it? Thanks Josh -
Hello, I want to change the background its now grey (see link). I want to use a picture as background. http://prntscr.com/8vj7ok Koenske

External Player, Trailers play in background of movie
jbclarke posted a topic in Windows Media Center
MBC with MPC-HC as external player. Enter a film with a trailer, trailer plays as background. Press play, and movie starts in external player but the trailer continues to play in the background MBC. Is there any way to get MBC to send a stop command to stop playing the trailer before it sends the play command to mpc-hc? Or is there another way around this?
