Hi all, I've just bought a Minix U9-H and found Emby sync to be extremely slow in comparison to my other devices. I have been using an Intel NUC (Skull Canyon), I know it would be faster than the Minix, but I didn't realise how much faster. Adding/Repairing/Updating a library takes 10x as long on the Minix than the NUC. I have an Emby library with only a few TV Shows in it, the Minix takes 1 minute and 8 seconds to complete the library update. The NUC completes it in 6 seconds! I've adjusted the 'Paging' settings in Emby Add-on, didn't seem to make a difference. I'm running CoreELEC on the Minix and LibreELEC on the NUC. They are both running the latest nightly of each OS. Emby server is on the latest beta - 3.6.0.84 Emby Kodi Add-on is latest beta - 3.1.36a Emby Companion Plugin is lasted release - 2.0.9.0 My full library would take many many hours to add. The NUC adds all library (movies and tv shows) in about 15-20 minutes. Both devices are connected via gigabit ethernet. As a test, I used the Kodi Backup add-on to backup to a network drive, then restore that backup on the Minix. It successfully restored all user accounts (4) in about 10 minutes. So it appears it's just the Emby Sync that is slow, not network/write speed. I also have 2 chrome boxes running LibreELEC betas and they sync at nearly the same speed as the NUC. The logs in Emby seem to show the exact same output as the faster devices, it just does everything a bit slower. When I first setup the Minix, I had CoreELEC running on an SD card and I presumed that was why it was slow, so I installed CoreELEC to internal eMMC... same result Please let me know if there is anything that can be done. If anyone else has a Minix U9-H or other amlogic device, do you also have this issue? Thanks

As discussed in this thread, would like to add HW encoding support for the ODROID C2. Another developer from the Hardkernel community has created a program that does the video encoding. We would just need team emby to create the code to re-pipe this into ffmpeg... The C2 would be an awesome and fully capable $40 emby box with this ability (for me, anyway... only looking to do a single 1080/720 stream). Thanks,

I have a generic Amlogic based TV box running Android 4.4.2. The Android app plays Live TV properly but the Android TV app (1.1.21g) halts and stutters. It can direct play files with no problems. I think the problem is related to HLS Adaptive Playback as described here: https://github.com/google/ExoPlayer/issues/926 If I disable the OMX.amlogic.avc.decoder.awesome codec inside of /system/etc/media_codecs.xml, playback doesn't halt but CPU decoding is too slow and is unusable. In another thread Luke says that HLS adaptive streaming is turned off on the server, so I'm not 100% sure if that is the issue. Regardless, this looks like some buggy Amlogic firmware, but I'm curious as to why it works with the regular Android app, but not the Android TV app. Is playback different between the two and is there a way to force the Android TV app to use a different method for Live TV? Even with the Amlogic AVC decoder disabled, the Android app still plays the transcoded stream correctly, so it must be using a different hardware decoder entirely.
